Great time! Has terrain for all skill levels! Huge Park!
Tons of awesome trails and night riding
spent the day at Cross Bar Ranch before Christmas. Less than a 2 hour drive from where I was staying with family in Texas… and had to take the bikes. Wanted to ride Red River, but we were going on a Monday. We didn’t find a lot of single track to ride. (had 3 people on 4-wheelers with us). But stayed mostly north side. A lot of rocks. But also found some areas without rocks. Several side by sides out there… but we never crossed paths with anyone while riding. Would like to go back with only bikes. Definitely some challenging hill climbs.
Cross Bar Ranch really is a special place. From the staff we encountered to the views when your riding. It's a great place to be
Not open year round. Currently Closed for hunting. Wasted 150 mile trip. Guy at front gate quite abrasive. Claimed minimal knowledge and no recommendation of any other park for today..
Fantastic riding destination with challenging obstacles if you want them. If you come in the summer prepare for dust… the dust is thick. Lots of places to challenge your driving and climbing abilities in almost any offroad vehicle.
CrossBar is Definitely at the top of my List of Favorite Off Road Parks.
Not a Mud Park !
It was so much fun and great trails
If you want to go Jeeping- this is NOT the place. This is designed more towards side by sides, ATVs & dirt bikes. The fact that there are no badges should have been a dead giveaway. Entry price is $20 per rider- not per car. Trails are poorly marked IF marked at all. Got caught up in side by side narrow trenches, paint all scratched up and a tree nearly took out our fender. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Great for small vehicles but terrible for Jeeps.
There are 2 separate apps to use for finding trails but reception is spotty.
You’ve been warned.
Additionally, we were told there would be multiple porta potties around the park and we only saw the one by the main entrance and an outhouse that was poorly maintained- if maintained at all.
Favorite place for riding!

THE PLACE IS REALLY FUN AND BIG BUT ALWAYS A BUT TRAILS

BAD DIRECTIONS NO MAPS NOT A PROPER SIGN FOR THE PARK ENTRANCE ESPECIALY AT NIGHT COULD BE A LOT BETTER WITH ALL THAT MONEY AND DONT INVEST IN IT
THATS BAD BUSINESS THE STORE HAD NOTHING BUT ICE
AND ALWAYS CLOSED UNLESS WE MISSIED SOMETHING
LIKE I SAID KIDS AT ENTRANCE WERE USELESS NOT SAYING I WONT GO BACK BUT IT COILD BE A LOT BETTER
greatbplace ton off road and camp doesn't matter is jeep or side by side always fun
I've been riding at CBR since about 2007. I love the trails. But, the park maintenance has gotten bad. I'm not sure what my entry fee is going toward anymore. Between family and friends, we spent over $400 for the weekend. But, someone needs to mow the grass, maintain the restrooms, and take those picnic tables out of service before someone gets hurt.
You won’t be disappointed visiting this park. Can’t wait to get back up there in October for the Ultra4 race.
