I had the brisket and smoked bologna. The Bologna was great but the smoked brisket was wet like it had been boiled. No smoke ring nor flavor just boiled. I had heard rave reviews about this place so while visiting my sister 1.5 hours away from our home we decided to stop in and eat. I sure do hope this was a fluke thing since I paid over $55.00 the 2 of us to eat here.

Took our grandson, at his request-he ordered the chopped brisket sandwich and it was so full of fat that he couldn’t eat it. He was disappointed and now chooses Fat Bully’s over Smokin Joes.

food was okay, spent 80 dollars on 3 meals and on our way out we wanted to get some ice for our cups we had been traveling for 7 hours and thought of getting some ice on our own cups before hitting the road, they took 2 of our cups with the trays before we left and didnt get to refill, theres just 3 of us and im the 2nd person getting ice and the lady at the counter yells from across the counter at me, she yelled pretty loudly at me HEY HEY HEY NO MORE NO MORE ICE which made me feel very embarrassed,when she could've just asked me or state that we couldn’t get ice with outside cups ,I get we were using outside cups but they took away the ones we purchased and didnt get a refill so we just wanted half a cup of ice for the road she was pretty rude and she had no need to yell at me so loud the whole restaurant heard. She seemed like a karen so I just left without explaining. 🤷🏻♀️

I spent $80 dollars on food and they had a problem with me filling up a cup with only ice! I get it if I was getting the drink on my yeti but the fact that I couldn’t put $0.20 cents worth of ice made my experience unpleasant.

The service was top notch. Front of house and back of house staff were welcoming and went above and beyond for other customers. Now the food ….. NO SEASONING AT ALL!!! Couldn’t eat my pinto beans OR my 1/2 chicken. The chicken was tough as booth leather , barely warm, and tasted like bland old rotisserie chicken. The pinto beans tasted like nothing. And my potato was so well done there wasn’t even any inside potato that was edible. The bbq sauce in the red bottle was AWESOME! This was my first time here, $60 for me and my husband for below average food….. I won’t be coming back. My husband and his family have been coming here a long time and he is saddened bc he said Joe is the nicest man he’s ever met.
