“Always love visiting Oshiki, we’ve been here maybe 4 times already. Good food and a great atmosphere and plenty of space to bring friends or just go as a couple. The chefs are funny and the drinks are pretty good.

They also opened their outside patio area for renting which was pretty cool, to sit by the fire and have some cocktails.“

“AMAZING sushi and excellent service. Lacy, our server, went above and beyond to accommodate a large group that came late and stayed late after lunch. Although the kitchen closed at 2pm, the chef whipped up three huge platters of nigiri sushi, scrumptious rolls, and ample appetizers. I’ve been coming to Sarku Japan at Penn Square Mall since I moved to Oklahoma back in 2015 — and it’s still one of my favorite food spots in the entire OKC area! 🍗

Their chicken teriyaki plate with white rice, vegetables, and extra sauce is unbeatable. The flavor is rich, the portions are generous, and the quality is super consistent every time. It instantly reminded me of the variety of food I enjoyed living in Los Angeles — which was hard to find here back then, especially beyond fast food or Tex-Mex.

Even though Penn Square Mall has expanded and now offers more food choices, Sarku Japan still stands out as my #1. They also serve beef and shrimp options, and you can customize with noodles or fried rice (small upcharge but worth it!).

Honestly, my only complaint? I wish they had more locations throughout the OKC metro! If I had the capital, I’d open a spot myself. It’s that good. 💯

“Always good and good value for the money! Sushi is always delicious. Tried chicken katsu, it was delicious, especially for the price! Egg rolls and spring rolls are always crispy and good, miso soup and other sides are always good also. Delicious food and friendly staff. 😃“

“This was our first visit. From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left James gave top tier customer service! We ordered Deep Fried Calamari as an appetizer. Then we both had the Tonkotsu Ramen. Service was quick, food was delicious and it was an enjoyable experience.“

“This place used to be really good, they use to have big rolls and you got your moneys worth. Apparently they are under new management/ownership and we could definitely tell by the service and food.
-The little lady that use to serve here was always on point & quick, the service now was slow.
-We always get a clear soup and ginger salad with our rolls, the soup was okay but you could tell it was different, I think they used a lot more bouillon and the ginger use to be orange and fresh tasting, it is darker now and not as fresh tasting and didn’t have any cucumber.
-My biggest complaint though is I found the tip of a glove in my sushi roll.“

“A Must-Try Under New Ownership! I'd always been hesitant to try this spot, but when I heard it was under new ownership, I knew I had to give it a chance. While I can't speak to the past, I can confidently say that under the new ownership, I'll absolutely be back! The family who runs it is incredibly kind, and the fish was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh, and they were generous with their cuts. They even gave us a sneak peek of an upcoming menu item: a seared salmon nigiri with crispy garlic chili oil.
