“The food was incredible! The takoyaki is the best I’ve had in the city; it has that smoky flavor that you’d expect from good takoyaki in Japan! The spicy tuna and salmon rolls were also very tasty with generous amounts of raw fish. Service was also great! Shoutout to Pearl for being an incredible and patient host!“

“Tried this place on a recommendation from a local gal working in the Persimmon Hill Gift Shop at the National Cowboy Museum as we wanted to eat before driving back up to the Tulsa area.
Warmly greeted and seated immediately in a comfortable booth, with excellent menus in a restaurant with a great atmosphere! Our server was so helpful and attentive, and had good suggestions, too!
We enjoyed a pan-fried gyoza appetizer, along with the October special crunchy seafood pancake. My daughter and grandson shared the Double Crunch Roll and Cowboys Roll, I ordered the Yellowtail Roll and the Midori Roll. I forgot to photograph our food (we were hungry, it looked amazing, and after the first delicious bites, we were too busy enjoying our meal to stop and take photos of it!

“This is our second time out to kaji and it was as amazing as the first time we came out. Between the fantastic chef, the great ambiance, and the amazing food we couldn't be happier. The quality of the ingredients, the presentation and the atmosphere are all amazing. The omakase style and intimate setting give a feel like you are dining at a friends home while getting the high quality restaurant food and service. I highly recommend coming here.“

“One thing about Ichiban is that it's going to hit EVERY SINGLE TIME. I order to go often to work when I want something light, fresh, and delicious. The poke bowls are highly customizable and are perfect every time. I don't know why I took so long to write a review. “First let's just look how gorgeous this is right now. The detail in everything is impeccable. The fish quality, the rice, the seaweed, the crab, the cucumber, the avocado, the wasabi(fresh wasabi, not artificial tube/burning your mouth wasabi), the pickled ginger, and the soy sauce are all quality ingredients. Yes it's Kikoman soy sauce but they're actually an authentic Japanese brand. Nothing was too fishy, the salmon is fresh, the red snapper is buttery, and the texture of everything really is on point. You will not be getting mushy old ingredients here. Everything is made to order, no flavors are overpowering. You can genuinely taste the effort put into sourcing every single ingredient. Try them if you haven't. I recommend the California and the Rainbow rolls. But I know the rest are just as good because they all use the same ingredients. The staff are always extremely pleasant. They're more than just smiling faces; they are genuinely kind, caring, and take pride in their service. Even though the inside is smaller and cozy they are bustling back and forth to get orders out with grace. They can get busy at times but they're definitely worth any wait time. Good people, great food, great atmosphere/lighting, and great ingredients!“

“So what its a gas station? This food is great, ive had it almost weekly for years. The chicken fried rice, egg rolls and crab ragoon are some of the best in Oklahoma. The owner is amazing and always know his customers names (,long time) sushi is made right in front of you and has a clean set up. This place needs to have delivery again haha.“

“Food is usually really good. Tonight I waited an hour for my to go order which was fine but I don’t appreciate paying full price and not getting mushrooms or sprouts. My egg roll order was short and the yum yum sauce tasted funny. Won’t stop me from going back, just think you guys can do way better.“

The sushi has great flavor, the presentation of there food is on point, great employees great management. For the first time in a long time this is by far an outstanding restraunt. “Easily one of my favorite restaurants. The fish has to be some of the best-tasting sushi in Oklahoma, the service is always excellent, and the vibe is relaxed and comfortable while still feeling like a cool place to hang out. If you like sushi and haven't been here yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Highly recommended.“

“This Japanese steak house has been a staple in northwest OKC for years. I have celebrated many birthdays here. The food is still very good and consistent every time. I feel like the decor has not changed either in all these years. The dried up fountains in the eating rooms might need a little refresher. Our chef was not very entertaining this last trip either. No fancy food tricks or shots of shrimp in your face. Kind of disappointing. I hope this was just a slow night and a chef in training because I have lots of love for this icon of food history in Northpark Mall. I will still return soon and hope for the best.“
