We came into get a quick meal this past Saturday. The waiter who was there worked really hard to make sure we had a good experience. Not only was the service amazing, the food was just as wonderful. They were kind despite the fact that we had to take it to go.

Such a cute diner, and the staff were simply amazing, handling a big croud of diners with deftness and fantastic people skills. I wish they had this franchise in Texas! Had the Reuben and it was great!

We had a party of 10 and got there around noon on Sunday 10/13/24. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken. This is where the story goes bad. We were given 2 servers to split the table. They each took orders for half the table. After the drinks were delivered we never saw one of the servers again. The young man that took our order was left on his own. When the food was ready he brought it to the table one item at a time....One burger then leave and come back with one omelet....etc. When he brought the food he just stood there and said "I have a burger with mustard. I don't know who has what she didn't tell me." We could have worked through this, but when I asked for silverware he brought 4 sets and gave them to the people who ordered lunches. He said that the rest of us had "finger food" and didn't give us any silverware. I guess if you order a burger or sandwich and fries you don't need silverware? My sister-in-law didn't get her food at all. I guess it wasn't ordered. When we asked about it she got chicken nuggets about 10 minutes later but, she ordered chicken strips. My nephew didn't get all of his order either. It was very poor service and our server never returned to the table. We were completely out of drinks and left on our own. When this was mentioned the only response we got was "well we're shorthanded and busy today and one of our workers had to leave." It wasn't that busy, but if someone had communicated to us we might have understood. We have been to Boomarang in different towns and never had this happen at other locations.

We were excited to eat here but that changed fast. We were the first table here and the last one to be served. First, they gave my food to a different table and then the waiter grabbed it and then touched my burger to make sure it wasn’t his and then he tried to give it to me. My mom ordered chicken and got steak and she told him she was allergic to beef and pork. The waiter never once checked on us and he left without saying anything. No other servers checked on us and my kids plates and trash were never cleared. My mom had to go grab a box because we kept being ignored.

Food has been good if you ever get it. Third time and we are done. Walking in they acknowledge you but if you sit there waving them down they will not make eye contact and you end up leaving because waiting 10 minutes and seeing couple people walk in afterwards getting waited on is not cool. We had to go up to the counter. The short waitress and a young waitress were approached by my husband and then we left. We have seen people leave waiting 45 minutes with no service. Boomerang in Durant is below 1 star.
I loved the breakfast. It was well prepared and a great price. I do recommend this place, not fancy, just good.

This was our first time at Boomarang Diner and the food was very good. We loved the whole staff. They all get 5 stars. The 1950s atmosphere was so cool. Even the 1950s music just hit the spot. Will definitely come back.
