I bought a chocolate cake for a birthday cake for my adult son’s birthday. It was expensive. The cake was extremely dry and tasted old. After reading some of the negative reviews that seems to be a frequent complaint. I could have saved a lot of money by just going to Walmart because it would have been better. The response to the complaints of dry old cakes is always the same: an apology and training new staff. Will not buy anything again.

This is always one of my first stops on our trips, that we make several times a year, to Durant. Everything is fresh, very flavorful, just fantastic. The ice cream, the cupcakes, the scones. I have never left disappointed with anything I have eaten in the shop and always take extras home to share.
