I love this restaurant in particular because it’s decorated exactly the way it was when they originally opened. No updates—just old-time vintage booths, paint, and décor. If you’re on the “fluffy” side, I’d recommend a table and chairs, as the booths are a tad narrow!
I love the food. I always order two pieces of fish with lots of crumbly bits and dip it in malt vinegar. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
The staff is always kind and welcoming, and they seem genuinely happy to be there. I always make sure to ring the bell when I leave!

Caleb was our server in drive thru and he was over the top the actual best ever. He was nice , courteous and absolutely the sweetest in customer service there. He got out order correct and besides the food being just absolutely great he is a great asset to your company. Thank you for hiring such a good employee.

The fish is awesome although I'm not a fan of the change they made to the switch to waffle fries. Regular fries were better. Waffle fries usually come kind of hard and crunchy. But others may like them..I'm just not a fan of them myself. On this day tgat we visited we only ordered the fish, a couple of fountain drinks with no sides. We asked tor tartar sauce, we was given vinegar sauce there was only 1 person working the front plus the drive thru and serving. The place was packed and very short handed. The drive thru had a long line and people had to wait on their orders. If anything can be said is that person needs a raise for working all positions and still being friendly and courteous to customers. She did make small mistakes but who wouldn't in her place..considering she's the only one serving people. All in all it's a great place to grab a bite. I'd still visit again and recommend.

Never been to an LJS in my entire life that you sit at an ordering stand, nobody even came on ever to ask for my order. Its 100+ degrees outside. No business in fast food should have their doors open with such people running anything. 20 plus minutes just setting waiting for someone to come on the intercom during lunch hours. Complete failures...
