We tried this Mexican cafe one evening and we really liked the white queso. Littlest Flip Out, in particular, absolutely loved it. I tried their Speedy Gonzalez dinner, which was fajita chicken and rice covered in yellow queso. I wish I had thought to substitute the yellow queso with the white queso. Mrs. Flip Out had the street tacos and they were good. The Littles enjoyed their tacos. Our waitress was the only server the night we were there and she did an excellent job staying on top of making sure we and everyone else had what we needed. Don’t forget to check out the world’s largest peanut monument down the street if you stop in at Salvador Cocina.

More of a Tex Mex meshed with Cali Mex. Salsa is subpar, tastes like picante and the consistency is half watery and half paste like. Asked for a sample of their habanero salsa before having to purchase it, same as the regular salsa but with a few drops of habanero extract. Shrimp were delicious in my opinion, soaked in lime juice and soft, not tough or mush. Service was decent, our server was personable, it took forever to get our drinks and our food but he was constantly moving around and staying productive. Fajita nachos had 80% chips and about 5% each of shredded cheese, fajita meat, bell peppers, and tomatoes. The tortillas were store bought and not prepped nor warmed. All in all, too pricey for what it offers.

It’s 2024 and the place does not have a wheelchair ramp. They are not wheelchair accessible I mean come on that’s illegal so we didn’t get to eat there.

I just want to say, despite the fact I only went twice as I am mak this review, the food is delicious. Probably one of the best food I've eaten since I was born. The service is amazing. The downside is this place doesn't have much waiters. They need more support and more worker. As soon as I can I definitely will try to become a worker here because well, why not? Definitely go to this place because it's amazing food. It's absolutely fine if it's not your type of food just please try it and support them. Also the ambiance is also amazing. Absolutely deserves 5 stars.

All food seems to be packaged/premade - from chips and salsa to their queso and margaritas. It was honestly gross. The server couldn't remember anyone's order. The place was empty which should have been a warning. We were visiting from out of town and the high reviews for this place are baffling.

Sweet little place with cool bones. The service was quick and the place was not noisy. A huge plus when you are tired and hungry!

Business hours 11-9pm Saturday. Walked in at 7:15 pm customers at tables and staff at bar turning customers away. Will not go back! Very rude staff!

Great service. Guacamole and salsa excellent. Love the tamales. Great experience downtown. Decor is really nice.

After spending slightly less than 30 seconds admiring the "World's Largest Peanut" located at the corner of Durant's City Hall, we were worn out and hungry. Fortunately, about 200' from the legendary statue is an excellent little Tex-Mex joint, the Salvador Cocina. (Tex-Mex , NOT Salvadoran) It is in a small historic building just a few away on 3rd Ave. Nicely decorated, comfortable, tables, no booths and bar seating if you like. #9 for me, relleno and a taco. My wife chose the one enchilada Lunch #11. Everything was filled with well-seasoned ground beef. A big beef filled relleno and a big taco on my plate. The enchilada had the good authentic red chili sauce. The salsas (picante and mild) were tomato based but well-seasoned; adequate. The service was excellent! A neat place to have a meal. We enjoyed our visit. Oh, don't miss the peanut.

It was mediocre. Food was okay. Their white quezo and chips were good though. Their music uplifts the atmosphere. Staff were welcoming but very slow. It wasn’t too busy during this hour; only 4 tables were occupied but too slow to get our drink. We’ve ordered “the 3rd st special and chile relelleno”
