The best waffle I have ever had in my entire life. Crispy, golden perfection that tasted like it was crafted by angels with a waffle iron. We were traveling and stopped by on a whim, and what a magical whim it turned out to be. Now, even though we live nearly six hours away, I’ll be daydreaming (and maybe even plotting road trips) just to experience it again.
I also had the hashbrowns, and my wife had a one-egg plate plus a pancake. All were excellent, true comfort food done right. But the waffle was otherworldly, the kind of thing that makes you want to stand up and applaud your breakfast.
I can’t wait for the day we wander back into the Waffle Shoppe in Durant, OK, for another round of pure joy on a plate!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing enough to share. The eggs I ordered were clearly cooked on a dirty frying pan — the bottoms were covered in black residue that no one should have to see, let alone eat. The chicken dish was just as unappetizing: the meat was extremely thin, almost paper-like, and buried under an unnecessarily thick, greasy layer of flour. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when basic cooking standards aren’t met. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based on what I was served.
The waitress was very nice. The prices were fair and the atmosphere was nice enough. However, the food wasn’t that good. My hash browns were pretty undercooked. I don’t mean undercooked to my liking, I mean undercooked. The chicken fried steak was underwhelming.

Being a vegan, I'm always asking the cooks is there this in there is there that in there, with IHOP and Denny's and Waffle House I always have to worry about egg and dairy being in all the mix for everything

I caught the place opening at 6:00 a.m., had a double biscuits and gravy, pancake, grits, and hash browns seeing that we were the first one through the door I didn't have to worry about there being any egg or meet residues on the flat top, and wow their food was awesome!
It was overall the greatest breakfast I've had in Forever
Not very often a vegan can be out on the road traveling for work, go to a place to eat a breakfast and order more than one menu item. Not this place, just look at my breakfast!

Ate breakfast here 2 days in a row, tried a couple other breakfast places in town and I liked this better than the others. The food was cooked perfectly, not overcooked or under seasoned. Tastes like your mom is in the back cooking with love. The hot steak sandwich was delicious, white gravy had good flavor unlike other places with bland white gravy. Loved the rolled egg omelettes, perfect textures. My brain wasn't computing overall 4 star reviews here, while other places were hitting 4.7 ish, don't sleep on this place. It's definitely punching above it's overall score.
