This is one of our favorite spots for happy hour and a quick bite. You cannot be the catfish bites and hush puppies! And well drinks are only $5. The service is always friendly and we love the regulars who hang out at the bar.

Food is awesome!

I’m a 1st generation Oklahoman. My mother and her 8 older siblings were all born and raised outside of Baton Rouge. So, you can believe me when I tell you that I just had the best etouffée I’ve ever had not made by my momma and the absolute best red beans and rice I’ve ever had. The boudin balls are way better than you’d expect too. Skip the remoulade and ranch just add a dash of Brent’s hot sauce (vinegar based, umami BOMB) and however much Louisiana you like. Legit, I’m more than impressed with this place. The beer was cold and my server/bartender did a fantastic job. I can’t wait to come back here.

The food and drinks were great. The service could have been better. Our server forgot our drinks and had to be reminded twice. He walked away after only taking the orders for half the table. He brought one person a cup of gumbo when they ordered the gumbo dinner. The tab was split between 6 people, one paid with cash and he disappeared for over 15 minutes after taking her cash and only brought change after the manager was flagged down and asked what happened to the change. The food was all amazingly good. The fried alligator is a definite must try. I've had it at several places and this was by far the best I've had.

So much flavor in every dish!! The crab cake on top of the Pasta Pirogue was the best crab cake I've ever had. The sauce was creamy and tasty. The crab claws were big and cooked perfectly. Gumbo was flavorful and meaty. Crab bisque had a lot of meat and flavor. Sooo good! Stuffed pork chop was huge and really good too. Will be back!

Was disappointed with the crawfish, reheated in Cajun seasoning. They were dry and stuck to the shell. Finally gave up half way thru. Co-workers said their meals were good.

I don't eat seafood but I was with a big group who wanted to eat here. They had a couple of non-seafood items. I had a Cajun burger and it was delicious!!! Also, our waitress was lovely!!

Brents is a great place if you love Louisiana inspired, cajun cuisine. I have tried alot of the menu items everything, and everything is good. The food is always fresh and the service is always excellent.
