“I’m leaving a five-star review because I’m a business owner myself, and I understand how difficult it is to operate in today’s environment. That said, I’m writing this with the hope that ownership and upper management will read it.
We stopped in for a quick dinner. One of the ice cream ingredients was unavailable — no issue there. However, the employee who came to inform us had a bloody nose with napkins visibly hanging from his nose while speaking with us. Several coworkers gathered around him to discuss our order, all while he remained in direct guest service.
Shortly after, I observed another employee playfully toss a dirty cleaning rag across the sink area. It landed unrinsed and was left there as she moved on to another task.
At that point, I looked around and realized there did not appear to be a visible leader or manager present. That likely explains why multiple employees felt comfortable allowing a teammate in that condition to continue serving guests.
The older lady at the deli counter was kind, professional, and welcoming, but clearly overwhelmed.
This location needs visible leadership focused on customer experience and basic cleanliness standards. As guests, we shouldn’t have to question food safety or sanitation. Ultimately, it’s up to ownership to decide if this reflects the brand standard Brahms wants to represent.
