A fun little place to stop for a dessert or a quick bite. Very friendly service, we enjoyed a Mississippi mud, and a slice of hummingbird cake. The cake was almost like a spice and banana cake mix. It's frosting was great. The Mississippi mud was a smaller treat, but also enjoyable. There was a variety of desserts to chose from. This is the only bakery I go to and I drive quite a ways to get there but I always get an iced cookie and I recommend it to everyone for cookies or cakes I've been a customer since I was a little girl.
The bread and the baked goods are still great, but $10 for a grilled chicken sandwich that seemed like a preformed frozen chicken patty that was unseasoned, dry, and 1/3 the size of the bread it was on is way overpriced and not worth it. The chicken salad was also bland and the chicken seemed to be out of a can.
I'm not in the kitchen and I don't know what they are actually using or doing, but the quality of the lunch offerings is not what it used...
