Donuts in Guthrie

“Wonderful people who have the best large donuts I've ever seen!! I'm passing through Oklahoma and having never saw long John's and twists so big!! The bonus was the donuts were soft and had great taste!! I'm thinking maybe I'm going to the wrong place in my hometown!!“

“I heard about Missy’s on social media. I heard they have the best donuts. Well, well, well, says I. Let’s give it a try. I did and, oh my! My husband and I both ordered sandwiches. We were unbelievably impressed. The ingredients were very fresh. The turkey was smoked and delicious. My hubby had the ham. The 1/2 sand was perfect in size. The bread was multigrain (not overly “grainy” at all…more subtle in flavor) and out of this world in taste, texture and freshness. A solid ten. But NOTHING compares to the absolute best chocolate long john, EVER!!! I am a food snob. It’s true. I write and have written articles about food for newspapers and magazines. Both my husband and I literally dreamed (the same night) about the donut. We both decided we don’t care if we grow to 400 pounds…if only we could live next to Missy’s. Atmosphere? It’s a donut/sandwich restaurant right off 1-35 and unassuming so you get what it is. But what an unexpected treat this place would be for travelers traveling up/down I-35. I know it’s a treat for the people of Guthrie. That’s a given. It’s 40 minutes away for us, which is a mixed blessing. Please. Do yourself a favor and go to Missy’s. It’s life changing out of this world delicious!“
