We went there early afternoon and the waiters were very responsive to fill our glasses and bring our food. The food was quite reasonably priced from the lunch menu it was delicious and hot and lots of it.

Unlike the Heavener Runestone, El Celaya Mexican Restaurant is authentic. I would classify it as being on the TexMex end of the Mexican food spectrum. Chili gravy on the tamale and the enchiladas. Yellow cheese topped the taco and the enchiladas, that were both filled with zesty flavorful ground beef. It turned out to be a delicious find, making today's drive to Heavener on this beautiful fall day even better. The restaurant appears to be new and well maintained. Very clean inside. The restroom was not a typical small town grungy water closet. The service very good. There are other Mexican restaurants in Heavener, but I would be willing to bet you a cold beer El Celaya Mexican Restaurant is the best one!

I am disappointed on this trip! I always order my veggie quesadilla with no broccoli, well….that is all I had on this one! No spinach, no onion, no zucchini, no cheese. Just squash and broccoli with a few burnt mushrooms! ???? 10$ in the trash!!!

Visiting from Phoenix and we took family here for dinner. It had been recommended as authentic Mexican food and it was sooo good! We tried the enchiladas, both the chicken and the veggie puffy tacos, the chicken quesadilla, and the carne asada street tacos. Everything was fresh, hot, and rich in flavor. Also, the food service was so fast. We will definitely come back on our next visit to OK.
