“The first time I went here was a March 21st, and they had a Cherry Sour on the menu. I am a big fan of sours and I loved this!! The second time I visited, they didn't have it, so I tried a few drinks and settled on something else. The atmosphere indoors and out is really nice, and it is beautiful to sit outside, even when it rains. There is a food truck on site that has hotdogs, quesadillas, and nachos. I've tried the Later Dude and the Three Squirts hotdogs. The others in my group have said great things about the quesadilla, but I've yet to try it. I highly recommend coming here. Also, you get to keep your mug, and if you bring it with you to your next visit, you get a discount!”
“From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly welcome. There are so many fun things to look at and enjoy inside and they do complimentary wine tasting about every 15 minutes. I love that the vibe was so good and versatile. We were on our honeymoon when we came but we plan to return when we come on a family trip and have friends and family with us. 10/10 recommend”
“I loved it when it was Tacohoma, and I love it now. All of the meat options are good, especially the pastor, and I love that you get queso on top of the enchiladas and tamales. The various drink options are also all noteworthy, with the watermelon and pineapple aguas frescas being especially fantastic. I always stop by multiple times when I'm in town.”
“My favorite place to hang out in Hochatown. We come here every year to have drinks and play cornhole. The outside deck is great, and so are the drinks! Love the atmosphere!”
“Been wanting to try this place out for a while just never got the chance until recently. This place definitely delivered so delicious. Very friendly staff took our order and the food was so good. Only one place to sit but we took it back to the cabin and had Dax shack drinks with it definitely recommend. Would very much recommend this place fast service as well.”
“We stopped by The Watering Hole during a bachelorette trip and so enjoyed meeting people and hanging out. Prices are great, and the owner and staff feel like family when you first meet. I will definitely come back next time I visit!”
“Beautiful little coffee shop! They've got tons of drink options, pastries, fudge, breakfast sammies, and bagels! They've also got a quaint country-style gift shop with clothes, hats, handmade soaps, etc! My latte and blueberry bagel were perfect. ?”
“Fresh catfish HOT from the frying oil delivered straight to the table … and HUGE fillets that taste amazing ???Baked potato baked to perfection … and the hush puppies and fried okra taste great, too. We’ll definitely stop here our next trip through town.Parking: Nice, hard-packed gravel … easy to walk on.”
“There really are not a ton of restaurants to choose from in Hochatown and this one has been one of our better experiences. We went for brunch on a Sunday and got there right when they opened so we didn't have a wait. It reminds more of a fast casual restaurant where you order at the front of the board and then they call your name or number when the food is ready and you get your tray. The bar is out back on the patio, so we had to get our mimosas out back and come back inside to our table. My husband said his breakfast burrito was ok, not the best. I had the lobster chowder and it was very good. Others ordered the fried catfish and fish tacos and they were good. Overall a solid meal, but I really think it depends on what you get. The fried okra and hushpuppies were also good.”
“Decent food- nothing too special other than the pancakes. Wish we had just gotten the pancake stack! Great waitress though. She was awesome, even with it being super busy!”
“The place was very busy. We expected a little wait for our food, but that took 30+ mins for 4 plates. Everyone's food was cold. Our pancakes were hard to cut, because food was cold. Sausage link, cold. The chicken fried steak did not have much flavor. Seems like it was cooked in old grease. The biscuits were good, would be better if it was not cold. Gravy was cold. Server was not very attentive. I understand they were busy and maybe understaffed. We just expected more out of this place and we were excited to try it.”
“The staff was courtious, prompt, and assisted with keeping the children entertained. The spicy chicken sandwich with French fries hit the spot. Outdoor seating was pleasant with overhead heating. The only part of this eating experience I didn't enjoy was the menu.Option 1. Scan the QR code with a phone and orderOption 2. Paper menu, proceeded by walking back to the Bar to order. I prefer a human being without the inconvenience of leaving my eating party.Still 5 stars in my book.Parking: It flows like the tide.Kid-friendliness: The table cloth is good ole paper sheets. There are plenty of crayons to go around.”
“The atmosphere is amazing, the lady that attended us was very friendly and attentive. Serving FRESH burgers (it takes about 20-30 but if you want a great fresh juicy burger it is definitely worth the wait.) My husband and I explored the little shopping strip while we waited and took pictures with the squatch at the front. 10/10”
“This is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon! As soon as we walked in, there was a tasting bar where we were able to try many of the wines made in house! After choosing a glass of our favorites, we enjoyed a Dip Flight that was AMAZING. The patio was very relaxing and the hospitality was sweet and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to relax with excellent options to try and kind people to chat with, this is the place to be!!!”
“Basically, good melted cheese sandwiches, slightly different variations. But then when you are on a holiday and you are hungry, everything tastes good. It's a food truck, but you have seating around.”
“Excellent food, good service, and quick. There are two tables by the food trailer. So it's more of a pickup-and-take-home food place. The ground is rough around the food trailer so it's not wheelchair accessible.”
“Drove out of our way to visit this coffee shop after reading the reviews and they did not disappoint. Ordered a sugar free vanilla latte and a blueberry scone. Both were delicious! The blueberry scone was served warm and like eating dessert for breakfast… Super yummy! Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you ladies for the excellent customer service!”
“Seat yourself, and enjoy some VERY good hometown style cooking! The catfish has the best flavor in town (better than the Casino), and the chicken fried steak is crispy yet tender. The portions are very good, and the price is even better! ? I give em 2 thumbs up for sure ??!”
“Stopped here on our Broken Bow Trip. We got a lb of crab, 1/2 lb shrimp, hush puppies and sausage. Owner has the BEST crab legs I’ve had in years! He definitely knows his cajun food and it shows! Wishing he was closer to eat all the time! 10/10 recommend.”
“I was in the area visiting family and Hochatown. I needed free wifi for a meeting and they kindly accommodated me. I visited twice in one day and on top of the good cold brew, sugar-free options, and lattes..they have a great drink called an Oklahoma Sunrise. Try it!”
“Zydeco Caribbean is one of a kind! The owner is a great guy and is very friendly. The food is very, very good and he isn't afraid to experiment outside of the normal menu.So far, I've tried the brisket tacos which are some of the best street tacos I've ever had.I've also tried the shrimp PO boy and Philly cheese steak.I would wager that the Philly is probably one of, if not the best sandwiches in the area. It comes heavily loaded with a good portion and the flavor is on point. Pro-tip: ask for extra seasoning if you aren't afraid of spice! You won't regret it.Did I mention the cheesecakes? This guy makes homemade cheesecake that is to die for. I've never had a German chocolate cheesecake before but let me tell you, the cheesecake alone is worth the trip.Don't let the exterior appearance of the old box truck scare you away either. The inside is clean and up to spec. This place is legitimate and has great food.Dietary restrictions: The street tacos are made with corn tortillas so they are gluten free.”
“You'd be hard-pressed to find a more authentic Mexican mom-and-pop restaurant in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. This place is the real deal. With affordable prices, mouthwatering dishes, and incredibly friendly service, it's a gem. Just a heads up, though: they only accept cash, so keep that in mind before heading over.Parking: Parking in a small lot, beside the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: It's a family restaurant; quiet kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking and entryway is accessible.”
“I decided to yelp this instead of an article. I'll start by saying that in the life of someone who reviews restaurants and different cuisine in general I must say that it is a good feeling to be able to stop somewhere in travel and have a quick bite to eat. That being said I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with the staff who were more than kind and I also enjoyed the fast food. I thought it very strange that a fast food restaurant had well seasoned meats as well as fresh and crisp vegetables. The bread was truly the star of the meal, it was soft and warm. It didn't take much to chew through this meal! I really had an experience stopping at the Arby's in Broken Bow Ok. The peace and quiet as well as the well lit areas made it a very homely experience that can keep someone feeling welcomed no matter how far away they are. Thanks Reuben Fisher.”
“We were in town on a girl's trip and heard from a local that Chiggers was a great place to dance and hang out. We came before the restaurant closed and enjoyed the food! We stayed after the restaurant closed and had a great time dancing and listening to music.”
“Fantastic food. We stopped by right before they closed and was greeted with such kindness. I can’t tell you how often restaurants or food service in general, hospitality seems to have vanished in our society. This was very much appreciated. The food was hot, had a great flavor. Really enjoyed how tender and tasty it was. Oh, the chili, definitely try it. Some of the best I’ve had that wasn’t made by me. The sliced brisket was really good. One piece had a little too much fat but overall really good. Ribs were very tasty. My only suggestion is maybe serve the same BBQ sauce that you put on the meat that was provided in the ramekins. The ramekin BBQ had a different flavor and we both preferred the taste of the BBQ served on the meats. Over great job the both of you. Can’t go wrong with Fine BBQ.Kid-friendliness: Super friendly folks.”
“The La Parrilla food truck catered our wedding in the Lockyer Valley, and since then we have been bombarded with comments from our guests about how amazing and delicious the food was. We had lots of kids and various dietary requirements and everyone was more than happy. Highly recommend, and we're planning a trip out to Ipswich to eat at the restaurant!”
“Service was great, and the live music was fantastic. Food was good, if a smidge overpriced. Gift shop is full of nice things to look at. Get souvenirs somewhere else unless you like giving away money.”
“Nice ice cream and coffee spot. Blue ice cream brand blends. Hit the spot. Did not order coffee but it sure smelled good. Was a popular place for a Friday night. Service was friendly and good.”
“We always get takeout Xpress. Today the gentleman on the phones name was Alex. He was professional. He was very nice. He was helpful and I really appreciate everything that he did. Keep up the good work, Broken Bow!”
“Really good corn dogs! Super friendly owner. We’re already planning our next Hochatown visit around these corn dogs.Kid-friendliness: Hammocks to lounge on and space for kids to play.”
