While waiting for my flight on Friday, July 11, 2025, I went into Sky Cafe, the only dining option at the Lawton, Oklahoma airport. I was greeted by an older Korean woman who asked me to come back in 10 minutes so she could eat. I found this odd, especially since the sign on the door clearly stated the restaurant was open.
I returned to the seating area in front of the cafe to wait. Just a couple of minutes later, I noticed a couple walk in, and the same woman welcomed them without hesitation. She then looked at me and told me I could come in as well.
Situations like this are unacceptable, especially in 2025. Businesses need to do better when it comes to customer service and fairness. If Lawton Airport would like to review this incident, it occurred between 12:40 p.m. and 12:57 p.m.

I stopped by Sky Cafe in Lawton Airport to get organic tea which was delicious and unusually poured from a strainer which container was bpa free. The service was awesome!! You should stop by when you get there.

I didn’t expect much from Lawton’s small airport, but this cozy café was a total surprise. It’s honestly the only place to grab food and drinks here, but it doesn’t feel like a last resort—it feels like a destination.
The vibe is spot on: warm, welcoming, and decorated with souvenirs of Oklahoma that make it feel personal. They serve beer, wine, and food, and while I didn’t try the food (already ate before coming), it smelled amazing and looked like legit homemade goodness.
The lady running the café, Hannah, was incredible. She’s Korean, super hard-working, and somehow stayed attentive the whole time I was there (and I was hanging out for two hours). I had several drinks, and she was on top of everything, even while balancing other customers and keeping the place running smoothly.
If you’re ever stuck at Lawton airport, don’t miss this spot. It’s more than just a café—it’s a slice of comfort in an otherwise unimpressive airport. Highly recommend!
