We paired it with different flavors of cream cheese and it was so good! I had planned to make patty melts, but it didn’t last long enough, we couldn’t stop eating it. The honey wheat was toasted and we tried different butters. This was very good, as well. The granola, well you have to try it, but I will let you in on a secret…it was amazing, too! “Run, don’t walk, to this bakery! They have lots of sweet treats from cookies to cupcakes that are your traditional classics, gluten-free, vegan, and vegan/gluten-free.

I was pleasantly surprised when the lady behind the counter pointed out several other goodies that were vegan. It was a tough choice, but I ended up getting a lemon blueberry pastry to share with my husband. We also ordered black coffee. The pastry was so delicious and sort of had a crumble cake feeling to it. It was moist and not overwhelmingly sweet. The pastry reminded us of our wedding cake that had a lemon blueberry layer so it was nostalgic. Plus the coffee paired well with it.

Overall, the place was decorated for the holidays and it was a nice escape from all the shopping. Service is great and the ladies working were so friendly. Definitely try it out!“

She went above and beyond to create the cake my son wanted and at a fraction of the cost the other bakery was going to charge (I added the decor on top, just pictures printed from Walmart photo center and hot glued to treat sticks)“

“the pigs in blanket were really good. we came in around 10:40am on a sunday so most of the items were already sold and whatever was available were whatever that was left. i recall that if you get pigs in blanket at a taiwanese bakery you have to get them before a certain time or theyre already considered stale and not as fresh. the owner offered to microwave the pigs in blanket so i understand he meant they are not going to be quite fresh. regardless they were still quite edible and delicious. the donuts were above average but not impressive. in all fairness the donuts were bought at 10:40am. i surmise that this is a good place for morning donuts for nearby locals but not quite a place to go out of the way to visit unless you had one lazy weekend morning where you just wanted to try a random place just to soak in a different ambiance and vibe.“

“Colors of Freedom Art Exhibit thru January 2025 consist of painting by Ukrainian children. I was told that the dog painting is of “Bullet”, a well-known bomb sniffing dog in the Ukraine. Bullet searches for bombs that have been hidden in destroyed buildings by the Russians who are hoping to kill more Ukrainians as they look for people and property. The painting of the two birds combines their beloved stork with our revered eagle and together we are saving democracy and the Ukrainian people. While there, we also saw the art installation of refugee camps called “Shelter” by Lisa Karrer. Included in the exhibits are interviews of displaced people fleeing violence and social and economic upheavals. I was very interested to read an interview of a Vietnamese who said their family does not say I Love You, they show it by asking if you are hungry and feeding you. Recently I picked up my dog at the local groomer (Soi) who is Vietnamese. We got to chatting and she said she makes big batches of egg rolls several times a year and makes some for her customers. She gave my husband and I several egg rolls to take home for dinner. We were honored and when I read the interview at the exhibit, it hit home about food and love. Art can touch our souls and help us take action to help others.“
