Dry rub wings were great. Friendly service. Would eat here again.

Surf & Turf not worth the money. Coconut cake seemed to be an unthawed premade cake. Burger was bland. Wasn’t impressed & pricey for the low quality.

Had reservations for Docs on a non holiday weekend after Labor Day weekend. Walked in and they almost cancelled our reservation because they “don’t have cups or silverware”. Seriously. Talked to some of the poor staff working there who said it’s not a dishwasher issue, it’s an issue of they have been asking management to order more because many have been broken and they refuse to order any. This management company is absolutely awful - Anchor and Docs both the same. They charge 5 star prices for 1 star quality. Gave service 3 stars because the poor employees are nice and trying their best. Management would get a -10 star if it was possible. When we were there we counted 15 people in the restaurant so definitely not being overrun.

The food was wonderful and our server was super. He recognized us the next day. A big table of guys behind us was a little noisy, but really didn't bother us at all. Live music was a nice touch. A really enjoyable evening.

The salmon was absolutely rank and clearly hadn’t been fresh for years. The caesar salad didn’t even have Caesar dressing on it (makes zero sense). The breakfast was ok with basic items. The waitress said they were so short staffed they were calling in spouses so they likely led to the terrible service.

Jessie our waiter was very attentive and informative of the menu. Excellent waiter and friendly. He also did his best considering that they were short staffed and a very busy night. One bartender. Several large groups dining With it still being “summer” and folks at the lake on weekends, I would suggest making sure you are staffed to accommodate the weekend guests.

I could not be more disappointed that the nachos are no longer on the menu in the restaurant or at the pool. We ordered salad and pizza and it was good, not great! Service is always just “ok” when we dine in or take out.And I feel like every time we come, they are out of something whether it’s cheese and peppers or pizza or something that makes more of an impact. Regardless, PLEASE BRING BACK THE NACHOS. They were the BEST!!! And nothing beats eating them by the pool. Thanks for the consideration!

Every bad review is correct! Bad food, bad ideas, bad management. Sucks for the hotel that they continue to falter so bad with the restaurant and awful grill at marina.

I ordered from what I thought said pork nacho’s on June 26. I assumed they would be corn tortilla. They brought out soft flour tortilla tacos. I told the waitress that I thought it said nachos(my friend thought the same thing) and I could not eat the flour. She was very quick to say that she would get a manager and that they didn’t sell nachos. The manager very quickly said that they didn’t serve nachos, rudely said. I said that I could not eat the flour and ask if I could at least have a plate to put the tortillas on. I ate the meat, which tasted fine. The next morning I got violently sick. I don’t know if it was gluten exposure or food poisoning, but either way I became very dehydrated and eventually had to go get intravenous fluids. I can’t prove it was the food, but won’t go there again for the abrupt/rudeness of the staff!!

We were staying at the resort and chose to get lunch while waiting for check-in time. I wanted the fairway club sandwich, but it was sold out. So I ordered a salad. Not bad, but not what I wanted.

We came back for dinner that evening. We ordered the smoked riblets. They were burnt. Seriously burnt. How do you serve burnt food? We also ordered a cheeseburger. It wasn't burnt, but it was dry and not very tasty. Needless to say, we didn't eat any more meals at the resort.

The hotel was decent, but with sub-par dining, I honestly can't see a reason to return to Shangri-la.

Food is not worth the price. The place is usually busy, the staff is friendly but very slow. It took roughly 30 minutes for us to get our cards back after getting our checks. Bartenders make good drinks though!

We have eaten at Doc’s a few times. It is OK at best. When you find something you like, it's no longer available the next time.
We wanted to order pizza to go last night.
We have had pretty good pizza there in the past. Chicken bacon ranch was one of the ones we liked. Got online to look at the menu and decided on the chicken bacon ranch (large) and the Greek pizza (small).
Oh, and an order of garlic knots. Guess what. They no longer offer either pizza or garlic knots. They offer no pizza with chicken and heaven forbid you try to alter one of their few pizzas. You can subtract
an item but no adding. Who does this?
There was no more choice of thin or hand-tossed. There was no choice to turn your pizza into a calzone. There was no choice of small or large. We had to have the guy tell us over the phone what kind of pizza they had since the online menu was obsolete. We ended up with two 12 inch pizzas (formerly known as SMALL) that cost an eye-watering $46.00!!!
Good grief. We would have been happier with a pizza from the gas station down the road.

Over the past 5 or 6 years we have eaten at Doc's several times including while they were serving in the large meeting hall during their renovation. Last year we had such a bad experience with the wait staff we decided to take Doc's off our list of preferred restaurants . We live in Grove and used to enjoy taking out of town visitors to what was a nice restaurant on Grand Lake. So yesterday, June 13, we decided to take a friend there thinking that after a year things would certainly have improved. Boy were we wrong. We were greeted by a very nice young man who was very pleasant and accommodating. We asked to be seated by a window and he did just that. As we entered the dining area we observed 4 people seated at the bar, not a single person at any of the tables and several other staff members, presumably some of which were waiters and waitress, either standing around talking or on their cell phones. After we were seated and given the "happy hour" menus we were told that our waitress would be right over to take our drink orders. Shortly, a young lady arrived with a carafe of water, poured each of us a glass and then told us she would be right back to take our order. Five minutes later she had not returned. 10 minutes past and still no sign of her. After 15 minutes and constant turning around in our chairs hoping, to no avail, to get someone's attention, we realized that we were being naive to think that Doc's had improved. We got up and walked out with what I hope is the firm decision to never return to Doc's Bar & Grill at Shangri-La. Please don't bother to patronize me with one of your usual weak apologizes assuring me that you will turn this issue over to the Hospitality Manger. I have now read many of your reviews and see that complaints are supposedly forwarded to the Hospitality Manger. If this is the case I would suggest that to clean up the reputation of Doc's the owners may consider starting at the top by replacing the Hospitality Manager.

Service was not very good. My order was not correct, but I didn't have a chance to say anything about it, because the waitress didn't return in a timely manner. We had to wait for quite some time for our waitress to return with to-go boxes and we had to go to the front to pay our check because we were waiting too long for the ticket. The restaurant wasn't that busy, so we were very disappointed in the service we received.
