My goodness, it was so good. That little lunch also was dinner. The staff was nice, the room was super clean, and the service was right on. We will go back and if you haven’t been there you should try it.”

“This is our little getaway. We love the food and service here. The wait staff is very pleasant. We suggest the Chorizo Tacos (under tacos carne asada), they are the bee’s knees if you like a little spicy. Not too hot too! We are usually there a couple times a week.”

“Ugly John’s Bar & Grill has one of the best lake locations around. We always enjoy the patio, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe — it’s exactly what you want on a Grand Lake day.

The food itself is consistently good, and when everything is running smoothly, it’s an easy place to relax, eat, and hang out with friends.

The only downside — and it happens often — is that they seem to run out of basics. Food items, condiments, even eating utensils. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it does take away from what could be a truly top‑tier lakeside spot.

Still, we keep coming back for the view, the patio, and the atmosphere. If they tightened up the supply issues, this place would be unbeatable.”

Our food took less than 10 minutes to get to the table. I’ll definitely drive 45 minutes to this place every time I crave good authentic Mexican food. The spicy salsa- highly recommend. Everything was worth every penny spent. The mango margarita was the best margarita I’ve ever had. We left happy, full, and we now have a favorite place to eat.

“Last weekend a group of eight of us drove to Grove to shop. We spent most of our time in The Lakehouse & The Table! The store has so many wonderful things. We decided to stay for lunch and it was delicious! The owner and her daughter took such great care of us! My friends have already decided we have to come back to do a class and of course do some more shopping (and lunching!) too! I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful shop!”

The restaurant downstairs is too notch and amazingly prepared food. The sports bar upstairs is perfect for the fall game days!! Do NOT pass this place by …spring, summer AND fall.”
