Quick food. It's not the freshest. They seem to cook everything ahead of time so that's likely why it's so quick. Sometimes the chicken is juicy other times it's dry & tough. The frying oil isnt changed as often as it should be either. I can taste it. It will suffice to quell hunger when you cant get any other food in a pinch.
Charlie's is hands down, the best fried chicken one can get this side of Springdale, Arkansas. (anybody who gets that has eaten at Neal's). Even though there are Charlie's in other communities, they are still locally owned, not a corporate chain. So win - win. Get the best chicken. Support local restaurants. Toss in the reasonable prices and you get win - win - win. Can't beat that.
I love their potato wedges but honestly the Charies on the west side is a lot better then the one on the east side of Muskogee. They are more into making sure you get good food to eat and good service on the west side I have never had any problems there.sometimes they are so busy it is hard to get an order in but even though they never get orders wrong and the food is always hot and fresh.
