I think 3/5 stars is pretty fair for my experience. First, service was excellent. Cheryl does an amazing job at taking your order, taking your payment, and making sure you get your food on a timely matter. However, I think $22 (with credit card fee) for a chicken strip dinner is just a little too high. Chicken strips were VERY small in comparison to other restaurants. Sides were good, fries were a generous portion and pretty fresh. Beans were hot, kind of liquidy, though. Toast was pretty soggy, not sure if it had been sitting out for awhile or what. I do understand the increase in prices, look at everything else. But, I don’t think portions should go down in the result of that. (Compared to my previous visits). Not a horrible experience overall, just wished the portions were more fair for what you pay. Thanks!

We went there a year ago when staying overnight in town. Great BBQ at a good price and a nice beer selection. We went again this year. Prices went up a lot and quality went down. Hardly any smoke flavor and the brisket was tough and ribs were a dud. Fries were a salt bomb. Beer selection was nasty. I had water. We left over half of our meals on the plate. We will never go back.

Took a suggestion from a coworker who used to live in Muskogee and he said he would come here when he was younger. This place did not disappoint!The waitresses were spot on and friendly. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks. They were not much selections with regards to appetizers so I ordered fries & onion rings. The onion rings were great however, at $7.59 I'm not exactly sure of the price, but they were exactly what I wanted in an onion ring.I chose the Two Meat Combo, Turkey & Chopped Brisket w/Potato Salad & Cole Slaw. Both meats were delicious and the Cole Slaw was a true hit! The Potato Salad was also good.Everyone in the group liked what they got so a big shout out to Mahylon's for the excellent lunch.Even I was checking out thy the waitress days she had been working there for 27 years! Then she began to tell me dinner off the highlights on the menu. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try them. Who knows I may just take a day trip up to grab lunch week my wife!My recommendation is if you are in Muskogee or just passing through and love barbecue this is a must try!!!
20240314T1240 - I arrived at the restaurant and made a to-go order at approximately 12:40. My order was handed to me within about 5 minutes. Bravo. I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich, a side of coleslaw, and a sweet tea. The total was $17.24. For lunch. But I digress. The sandwich had a decent amount of meat in it, the drink was 32 oz, but the coleslaw container is a 6 oz container and it was only filled up about 3/4 of the way. It was still a filling lunch, brisket was delicious even before adding barbecue sauce, coleslaw was tangy, sweet tea was sweet. Great food, great service, I just can't believe how much inflation drove up the prices.
