However, despite a lengthy conversation with the waitress about being allergic to wheat (not celiac), where she explained she would bring gluten free options…. That did not happen. I was served more than one thing with wheat. The item I ate wasn’t obviously so amazing that I could tell it wasn’t made with wheat, either. My partner was hungry, he’s not allergic, and the damage was done. I would have walked out and not paid for the wine if I was solo. I wasn’t going to ruin his night, and when the waitress asked if there was anything she could do, I asked her for a time machine. I can’t tell if the entire wait staff is this careless, but I won’t come back to find out.

SIX STARS ! My dad and I were on a road trip and spent a couple hours looking for our dinner restaurant (he's admittedly slow at researching). We weren't feeling incredibly hopeful with our choices and then in a last ditch effort, Chapgpt told me about this place. We have a lot of Italian family btw. First impression was, the place was very thoughtfully decorated and bustling with happy people. We don't drink but the wine selection specifically looked epic. We were greeted by our waiter (was his name Cory ?) and he immediately confirmed all our hopes for this experience. He was so kind and genuine, and clearly can very much get behind the flavors and quality of the food and experience at Benenuti. He shared, because we were interested, the bubbling excitements around the chef collaborations and obvious passion. When the food came, we were even more pleased ! All the flavors were potent and well defined and crafted. The ingredients tasted of quality and intention. The outdoor covered patio was lovely and inclusive. AND with all that, the prices were very modest ! Swoon.

It’s always a special treat to dine here. The food is delicious. Every time we go everyone in our party has just devoured their meals, no matter what was ordered, it was impeccable. The wine list is wonderful and cocktails are perfection. The chef is creative but doesn’t lose sight of what actually tastes good. You can tell the best ingredients go into their recipes. I prefer the indoor seating.
Kid-friendliness: I think it’s an adult atmosphere. Kids are well treated but do they add to the ambiance? No.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Service was minimally slow but they were packed.

A great recommendation from an OU professor... My friend Janie and I flew from Knoxville to Oklahoma for the Vols game, and on the plane I was asking recommendations for restaurants local. And this nice professor stated Benvenutis and two others... He said to call immediately when you guys land and make a reservation... I immediately called and made a reservation for 8pm. Oh my gosh from the time we walked in to the time we left it was just amazing... Janie and I wanted to try so many dishes and the best was we ordered two separate meals so we could try them each .. this place even brought out the two dishes separate in two plates... And the ? amazing... We even posted this restaurant on vol Twitter... Amazing staff. 10 out of 10 GO VOLS :)

I have to mention the poached pear as it was absolutely a delight and is now my favorite food. The veal parmigiana was equally fantastic and the cheesecake was divine. You truly taste the authenticity in every bite.
If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, this is the place! Get your reservations early as this place books fast! I can't wait to return and explore more of thier menu!

Our one complaint is that the food does not quite match the rest. the arancini was very good. we loved it.
we also ordered the chicken Milanese, which was fine but not impressive.
The disappointing dish was their special, a Pappardelle with beef. i was so caught up in our time that we did not realize we left it untouched because it was a good idea, just poorly executed.

We had a reservation around 5 on a Sunday although there were plenty of open tables. The server was very knowledgeable and pleasant the entire time. Other staff were bringing us fresh bread and refilling our drinks. We each had a glass of wine. My husband had Anthony's special pizza and I had the Bolognese which was so good!
