“I've visited many spots in Norman and for the most part, each place was nice and have decent selections, but Sooner Daiquiri Bar & Grill was the first place in Norman that we lost track of time. Howanda is a Riot! We Love her! And those Wings! The Don Sauce Wings gave my Tried and True Honey Mustard Wings a run for it's money which we tried side by side per Howanda's suggestion. This will be our fourth time going back.”

“I almost never write reviews, so the fact that I’m writing this one should say everything about how impressed we were with Donna and Madison’s on Main! From beginning to end, working with Donna was truly one of the best parts of our wedding-planning experience.

Donna is incredibly kind, thoughtful, talented, and generous. She took the time to get to know us, understand exactly what we envisioned for our wedding cake, thoroughly explain every detail, and make the entire process completely seamless. We live out of state and traveled to Oklahoma for our wedding, and she went above and beyond to accommodate us every step of the way. Wedding planning can come with plenty of things to worry about, but our cake was never one of them. We genuinely looked forward to every interaction with Donna because she is just that wonderful of a person!

Her generosity absolutely blew us away. For our tasting, she baked us individual mini cakes in the flavors we wanted to try, so we had plenty to take home and enjoy afterward. She also surprised us with “His & Hers” coffee mugs, and on our wedding day, she left us six cupcakes in our wedding flavors, a beautiful ornament, and even a Polaroid photo of our cake. None of this was expected, and every thoughtful gesture meant so much to us.

And then there was the cake itself: absolutely incredible! Donna has an amazing selection of cake flavors and fillings, and our cake tasted every bit as good as it looked. Our guests raved about both the flavor and how beautiful it was, and Donna executed our vision perfectly.

We truly could not have asked for a better experience. Donna’s talent is exceptional, but it’s her kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for her couples that make Madison’s on Main so special. We would recommend her again and again without hesitation, and she will absolutely be the first person we call for any future cake needs. Thank you, Donna, for helping make our wedding day so special!”

“This little dive bar has a regular clientele and staff that will pull you into its folds and make you feel at home. Everyone is friendly! Its a clean dive bar/biker bar atmosphere with plenty of free parking in the back, a fantastic bar, 3 well kept pool tables and equipment (free on Mondays), darts, and karaoke on some nights. Come as you are! (I suggest using the entrance behind the bar off of Tecumseh road instead of the Porter entrance)”

“Very good it is a little pricey but where I’m from in California, the food was very good and I just made my plates as a regular dinner as if I’m going out but yet I serve myself which is cool. They have prime rib and steaks and chicken a lot. People like big you’re going to a buffet you got to eat a ton but you really don’t. You definitely are getting your moneys worth just eat a nice dinner and it’s kinda fun”

The overall vibe was right up our alley. I personally got the " never sleep again" shake. It was so delicious. And gave me the boost to stay awake for awhile! It’s like a hippy and a Jewish deli owner got married and started a business and you are the beneficiary of sandwich and soup that achieves “excellent” status! If you eat here and don’t try the potato salad you have made a grave error and I am going to have to question your credibility on all things food or food adjacent. Make good choices and eat this potato salad. Eat it slowly. Shed a tear for yourself, because if this is the first time you are eating it….. you have sorely missed out on something special. You deserve it. I had the New York Deli Classic. Pastrami that has attained the level of mana. That’s all you and your kids, family and weird work friends need to know. If you do not try this sandwich, I will come to your home and let your pets go and dump your neighbors’ trash bins into your yard. You have been told. Do something about it. Eat here or else Fido will be loosed on the neighborhood.”

Just because they are trying to make heaven crowded shouldn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. Nothing is forced on you there unlike all the rainbow images everywhere we go anymore. Amy greeted us like we’d been coming there for years. Day one, I ordered the supreme burrito with homemade Verde sauce — huge and full of flavor. My wife got the breakfast quesadilla and still had leftovers. We loved it so much, we came back the next morning. I had the meat lovers omelette, and three cups of their coffee (and I’m not even a coffee guy). Chef Robert nailed it again — especially the fried green tomatoes. This place feels like the kind of diner you linger in, talking with other customers while waiting for your food. If you like big portions, good coffee, and a true small-town vibe, this spot’s a must-try.”

“I have always loved Quiznos and honestly wish there were still more of them around and easier to get to. It feels like one of those places that is harder and harder to find, which is disappointing because their food has always stood out to me. There is just something about Quiznos that hits differently than other sandwich places.

My favorite is the Mesquite Chicken sandwich with ranch, and adding red wine vinegar makes it even better. That combination is so good and gives it so much flavor. It is one of those sandwiches I keep craving because it is warm, savory, and just really satisfying. Every time I get it, it reminds me why I have always liked Quiznos so much.

The toasted sandwiches are a big part of what makes Quiznos so good. The bread, the flavor, and the way everything comes together just makes it feel a little better than the typical sub place. It has that comforting, familiar taste that keeps you coming back.

Overall, I really wish Quiznos had more locations because it is still one of my favorite sandwich spots. The Mesquite Chicken with ranch and red wine vinegar is absolutely delicious, and it is always a treat when I get the chance to have it. Yummy every single time.”

We usually get like the singles for lunch sometimes and it’s always delicious so we went ahead and treated ourselves and our kids to their pizzas…. little bit cheaper than Pizza Hut and Domino’s and it tastes 10 times better so that says a lot. We did an online order and unfortunately when we got there, their thing was down. I’m not exactly sure what part in the grill was down, but the gentleman informed us he had to call his boss…. well at that same time a lady walked in behind us and wanted her pizzas and he tried to explain to her Something was wrong. He happened to be on the phone with his boss at the exact same time so I took it upon myself to say hey he’s on the phone with his boss. There’s something wrong with his machine and he’s trying to figure out what he needs to do well the lady then yells at me that she wants a refund and I tell her hey give him a second. He’s trying to figure out what’s going on. She then proceeds to yell. I don’t care. I want a refund. I don’t have time to wait. This is ridiculous. Ends up getting the manager involved. He comes over there. He’s trying every way possible to fix the situation the lady is not dealing with it she’s just yelling at everybody just being extremely hateful. We ended up waiting 15 extra minutes and they were able to get our pizzas out to us. They offered us free drinks and even today when I went back in, they offered us another free pizza. Which I did not take because they really didn’t do anything wrong. It was nice that they were trying very hard to make sure their customers were happy but what that lady did last night was unacceptable. That was my first experience visually witnessing a Karen and I feel really bad for the employees because they did not deserve that no one does. They took care of us and I’ll be honest. This is literally the only gas station we go to in Norman because their coffee that they have is amazing and their food is delicious every single time so I am more than pleased with the grill and the store.”

“One of the things I love about eating at Waffle House is that, in a weird way, the whole place feels like its own little world. The waitresses are calling out orders in what sounds like a foreign language if you don’t know the code: “Drop hash browns, scattered, smothered, covered,” “half bacon,” “two eggs over easy,” “double order of pecan waffles,” “Bacon egg and cheese melt, hold the tomato.” And somehow the cooks remember all of it.

There are no tablets, no screens lighting up with orders, no tickets hanging everywhere, no one standing around staring at a computer. It’s just people who have done this so many times that they have the whole rhythm of it down. Someone calls out an order, the cook hears it, and it happens. Fast, organized, and almost instinctive.

And I think a lot of it is the nostalgia. It reminds me of a time when things felt a little more simple and personal. You sit at the counter, you hear the grill going, coffee is being poured, people are talking across the kitchen, and everybody seems to know their role.

But probably my favorite part is watching the staff interact with each other. You can tell when people actually like the people they work with. There’s joking, teasing, calling back and forth, helping each other out. It feels less like watching employees work a shift and more like watching a group of people who have built their own little community.

I think that’s why Waffle House has such a special feeling to me. The food is almost secondary. It’s the atmosphere, the memories, the sounds, the people, and that wonderfully chaotic but somehow perfectly organized way the whole place works.”

“We attended this location last night and were very pleasantly surprised. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare with good flavour, and the broccoli-cheese casserole was bizarrely good. Burger we ordered was slightly undercooked, but that was remedied very quickly.

Portion sizes to price ratio is fantastic, and the bar drinks are very well priced, too. I unfortunately cannot remember our server’s name, but she was lovely and always ensured we had everything we needed.

We will certainly be visiting this Cheddar’s again in the future, and I’m looking forward to exploring more of the menu.”

“One of mine and my partner’s favorite places to eat! Honestly it’s our go to most of the time. Good prices, amazing drinks, and the staff is always so friendly and on it! They have taken great care of us each time we have came in! We are on the north side of Norman and still make the drive because we know they never disappoint! We even went there for thanksgiving and they were happy to serve us! If you’re looking for hospitality, great food, drinks, and a good atmosphere, this is your place!”
