“I've visited many spots in Norman and for the most part, each place was nice and have decent selections, but Sooner Daiquiri Bar & Grill was the first place in Norman that we lost track of time. Howanda is a Riot! We Love her! And those Wings! The Don Sauce Wings gave my Tried and True Honey Mustard Wings a run for it's money which we tried side by side per Howanda's suggestion. This will be our fourth time going back.”

I have to mention the poached pear as it was absolutely a delight and is now my favorite food. The veal parmigiana was equally fantastic and the cheesecake was divine. You truly taste the authenticity in every bite. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, this is the place! Get your reservations early as this place books fast! Its a clean dive bar/biker bar atmosphere with plenty of free parking in the back, a fantastic bar, 3 well kept pool tables and equipment (free on Mondays), darts, and karaoke on some nights. Come as you are! (I suggest using the entrance behind the bar off of Tecumseh road instead of the Porter entrance)”

The staff were amazing, and friendly! The decor was on point. Unique pieces of art, and figures from horror movies, and signed photos from scream Queens and Kings! The overall vibe was right up our alley. I personally got the " never sleep again" shake. It was so delicious. And gave me the boost to stay awake for awhile! I appreciate all things old school and “how they should be”… This little culinary gem is a prime example of that. It’s like a hippy and a Jewish deli owner got married and started a business and you are the beneficiary of sandwich and soup that achieves “excellent” status! If you eat here and don’t try the potato salad you have made a grave error and I am going to have to question your credibility on all things food or food adjacent. Make good choices and eat this potato salad. Eat it slowly. Shed a tear for yourself, because if this is the first time you are eating it….. you have sorely missed out on something special. You deserve it. I had the New York Deli Classic. Pastrami that has attained the level of mana. That’s all you and your kids, family and weird work friends need to know. If you do not try this sandwich, I will come to your home and let your pets go and dump your neighbors’ trash bins into your yard. You have been told. Do something about it. Eat here or else Fido will be loosed on the neighborhood.”

We all tried house specials except for one standard cheese pizza lover!! No complaints and empty pie pans with only 4 slices to go when we were finished.

“5 stars all the way. I love the fact that we have another Christian restaurant in Norman, closed Sunday's to allow employees time for church and family. I appreciate that the music isn't obscene and I can feel comfortable staying there to eat with my daughter. Just because they are trying to make heaven crowded shouldn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. Nothing is forced on you there unlike all the rainbow images everywhere we go anymore. But we have the option to look away. God understands a bad church experience and he doesn't condone wolves in sheep clothing. Give God a chance, not religion.”

Amy greeted us like we’d been coming there for years. Day one, I ordered the supreme burrito with homemade Verde sauce — huge and full of flavor. My wife got the breakfast quesadilla and still had leftovers. We loved it so much, we came back the next morning. I had the meat lovers omelette, and three cups of their coffee (and I’m not even a coffee guy). Chef Robert nailed it again — especially the fried green tomatoes. This place feels like the kind of diner you linger in, talking with other customers while waiting for your food. If you like big portions, good coffee, and a true small-town vibe, this spot’s a must-try.”

Can't wait to go back and try others, I got two halves and tried two different ones. Improvement could be made on the sides as the chips were bags and the mac salad tasted like from pre-made from Walmart. As for the main course, I chose the blackened shrimp tacos, and they were very good. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning to create a burst of flavors in each bite. I was impressed with this dish and would recommend it to others. My wife opted for the Cali club sandwich with a side of fried okra, and she was pleased with her choice. The sandwich had a delightful combination of flavors. The fried okra added a nice crunchy touch to the meal, and she thoroughly enjoyed the entire plate. For dessert, we indulged in the funnel cake fries, and they were the perfect way to end our meal. The warm, crispy goodness of the funnel cake combined with the sprinkled powdered sugar made for a delicious treat that left us feeling satisfied. The service throughout the evening was commendable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed to have a pleasant dining experience. “I have always loved Quiznos and honestly wish there were still more of them around and easier to get to. It feels like one of those places that is harder and harder to find, which is disappointing because their food has always stood out to me. There is just something about Quiznos that hits differently than other sandwich places.

My favorite is the Mesquite Chicken sandwich with ranch, and adding red wine vinegar makes it even better. That combination is so good and gives it so much flavor. It is one of those sandwiches I keep craving because it is warm, savory, and just really satisfying. Every time I get it, it reminds me why I have always liked Quiznos so much.

The toasted sandwiches are a big part of what makes Quiznos so good. The bread, the flavor, and the way everything comes together just makes it feel a little better than the typical sub place. It has that comforting, familiar taste that keeps you coming back.

Overall, I really wish Quiznos had more locations because it is still one of my favorite sandwich spots. The Mesquite Chicken with ranch and red wine vinegar is absolutely delicious, and it is always a treat when I get the chance to have it. Yummy every single time.”

We did an online order and unfortunately when we got there, their thing was down. I’m not exactly sure what part in the grill was down, but the gentleman informed us he had to call his boss…. well at that same time a lady walked in behind us and wanted her pizzas and he tried to explain to her Something was wrong. He happened to be on the phone with his boss at the exact same time so I took it upon myself to say hey he’s on the phone with his boss. There’s something wrong with his machine and he’s trying to figure out what he needs to do well the lady then yells at me that she wants a refund and I tell her hey give him a second. He’s trying to figure out what’s going on. She then proceeds to yell. I don’t care. I want a refund. I don’t have time to wait. This is ridiculous. Ends up getting the manager involved. He comes over there. He’s trying every way possible to fix the situation the lady is not dealing with it she’s just yelling at everybody just being extremely hateful. We ended up waiting 15 extra minutes and they were able to get our pizzas out to us. They offered us free drinks and even today when I went back in, they offered us another free pizza. Which I did not take because they really didn’t do anything wrong. It was nice that they were trying very hard to make sure their customers were happy but what that lady did last night was unacceptable. That was my first experience visually witnessing a Karen and I feel really bad for the employees because they did not deserve that no one does. They took care of us and I’ll be honest. This is literally the only gas station we go to in Norman because their coffee that they have is amazing and their food is delicious every single time so I am more than pleased with the grill and the store.”

“Tried McAlister’s Deli for the first time and honestly I’m mad I didn’t come sooner. From the moment we walked in, the service was great. The cashier, Tyra, was super patient and took the time to explain the whole menu to me and my wife. Since it was our first time, that really helped. She recommended the “Choose 2” option, which ended up being an awesome choice because we got to try more than one thing without overdoing it.

She also recommended the cheesecake… and wow, easily one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had. On top of that, she made a delicious cup of sweet peach tea that was perfect with the meal.
