One of the things I love about eating at Waffle House is that, in a weird way, the whole place feels like its own little world. The waitresses are calling out orders in what sounds like a foreign language if you don’t know the code: “Drop hash browns, scattered, smothered, covered,” “half bacon,” “two eggs over easy,” “double order of pecan waffles,” “Bacon egg and cheese melt, hold the tomato.” And somehow the...read full review
Not that it's a bad thing, but it was a textbook Waffle House. Neon lights outside, fluorescent lighting inside. Great service, great food (the All American special), the grits were fantastic. I hadn't been to a WH in over 15 years, and this visit brought back all the good memories.
