“It has a fun legal themed decor. They have a good selection of sour beers. The two bathrooms are single person and unisex. The one I used was clean and functional. The establishment overall was clean and comfortable. The bartender was nice.“
“Pros: Rotating selection of craft beer. Outdoor seating with a nice view of OU's North Oval. Not open super late like other bars and clubs, but it is more of a taproom where beer is the main focus. The place tends to draw a quieter, less party-oriented crowd. I cannot speak to the food, as I have not ordered it yet. Cons: N/A“
“I've been frequenting Lazy Circles since last fall, mostly for their Tuesday night trivia. It's a cool, eclectic little space tucked on Main Street. The beers are generally pretty good - I've had a few duds, but they're mostly solid. Every once and a while they have something that knocks your socks off, like their Director's Cut (mango double IPA) or Cocoa Caliente (spicy Mayan chocolate stout). Their bartenders, especially Claire, are wonderful and eager to help you find something to drink that you'll love!“
“University cities often have that old town-and-gown dichotomy going on, and Norman OK is no different. It’s like that old Venus-and-Mars thing used to describe the differences between men and women.I found myself in Norman (home of OU) to shoot photos of two old theatres, and naturally worked up a thirst. Beer Is Good (BIG) is located in the traditional downtown part of Norman, more than a mile from campus. And it took me a New York second to quickly realize I was among locals, not the campus community. The brewery (I never once saw a wort kettle or fermenter) looks and feels more like a tavern, which is fine. It works. The place was decked out in a Nightmare Before Christmas motif, and the big screens showed Texas destroying OSU in football. I’m betting everyone in there was rooting for Texas, if only because of the OU/OSU rivalry.I went with a flight, as is my M.O. They had enough IPAs to do four in a row, starting with Road To El Dorado SMASH (6.6%ABV), and continuing with Clockwork Orange Juice (6.8%ABV), Real Fake Limes (8.6%ABV), and Straight Outta Compton (8.3%ABV). They were all approachable IPAs, each with unique flavor profiles. But it was the Compton that piqued my curiosity, its subtle malty finish raising my eyebrows in a delightful way. It is no small feat to brew hop-forward yet malt on the back side; I ordered a pint of it, again my standard procedure. Best-in-flight deserves a pint of its own. I enjoyed my visit. The crowd was much more sedate than what you would expect in a college town. Two thumbs up.“
“My wife and I have been there several times now. The food is always very good. I've had several of their different types of beers and they were quite good too. The other drink offerings had things to satisfy my wife's picky palette. The brunch offerings are quite tasty, too. And the blueberry streusels are heavenly. The service is outstanding. It's off the main path by a few blocks but worth it in my opinion. Open. Airy and well-lit with natural lighting. The view of the park across the railroad tracks is better than congested and busy downtown streets. Comfortable seating.“
“Visited for the first time with wife and kids ,was a nice calm setting upon entering the restaurant. Staff was very nice and cheerful. Our waitress Amanda was very nice and helped in making sure we were well taken care of . We were a bit disappointed at first (yet completely understand that we dined in later in the evening) that the prime rib on special we were wanting was all sold out and a couple of the drinks were out also . Amanda and the Manager Emily were exceptionally apologetic which was greatly appreciated and eager to be sure the rest of our experience was delightful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend anyone to visit this location. I truly wish there were more restaurants with staff as enjoyable and caring also with food as good as this location. Thank you Amanda and Emily for an amazing experience.“
“One of our favorite places to eat. Our 16 year old son even asked to go here for his birthday meal. It's about 30 minutes each way from our house and it is worth it. The hunters schnitzel is amazing! If they ever bring back the Tuesday buffet I will be eternally grateful.Parking: Plenty of parking I. Lot next to building has plenty of parking.“
“We went for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. It is a great relaxed atmosphere and the food is awesome. I don't like fish, but I got it here and I loved it.Everybody enjoyed their meal, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great and relaxed. One of our favorite places to go to“
“Very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to talk about their beers and processes. Very experienced in the aging process which I do not see as much in the OKC area. They provided several samples on what they are working on, sours, all of which were excellent. We will return repeatedly.“
