Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Very disappointed in Dickeys. This place was recommended to me and I figured I would try it out. I got a Kabasa sandwich which was pretty good. And I also ordered a cup of chili. This is what I got compared to what is supposed to be in the chili. I know it’s not gonna look exactly like the picture online however, what I got looks more like a cup of crap. There is no cheese or onions and the cup is filled halfway. Not to mention, it looks like they scraped it from the bottom of the pot. I can’t believe they would actually serve this to a customer. Definitely will not be going back knowing that they would serve this crap to somebody. How disappointing and embarrassing. Photos in comments

Great vibe in this place. JR and Zoe are always great. Food was delicious thanks.

Manager Lance was rude and threatening after i reported the Coke not tasting right and when I got home, food gave me diarrhea no joke 🤮
very arrogant and poor Customer Service from this location but then again it’s Norman 🤪🤣🤣🤣

Pull pork and brisket was both cold. Fries was hot and beans. I didn't have time to wait on another order. I did eat it cause I was hungry. Will never be back there. Been a long time since I been in a Dixie barbecue didn't know they was still in business. I don't live in Norman just visting.

We've been coming to this location for a while now. Probably 2 years- and it was so great! Food hot, good sized portions... Plasticware and onions and pickles. Straws. Sauce. Today I made an order through drive thru and we are missing 2 sides and BBQ sauce. I called 3x and no answer. This sucks.

I ordered chili and it didn't taste good plus it's old. I ordered ribs and they were so tiny.

The manager at this location, JR, is nice! Everytime I come by him and other employees makes it a good experience. My food is always delicious and hot.

Well.. this isn't the review I was expecting to write . . Back in 1967 , Plano Texas on 14th street, there was a brand new Dickey's open up ! Every week my nannie,papaw and my 2 brothers would load up (usually on Friday) and head to Dickey's on 14th ! It was a treat for us! Me and my 2 brothers loved Dickey's, even if we didn't always get to go to the restaurant, it still got picked up and brought home. Through the years , especially the one on 14th Street in Plano handled a lot of catering from my family even when we moved a town over . It's been a while since I've ate Dickey's .. like years . Imagine my surprise when I ordered the loaded baked potato w/butter, shredded cheese, green onions and sour cream(light) ... I added Xtra green onions and shredded cheese and bacon (paid extra for all those too). So I received a cold dried up potato light cheese and onion, no butter, and no bacon !!! And completely smothered in sour cream!! Just nasty looking. I've added pictures of it. Dickey's is not what it used to be and that's so sad . I miss the Dickey's on 14th street back in my stomping grounds. I don't believe I will be back to Dickey's,, at least not this one for sure. .....
And to top it off, I called the restaurant and talked to some little twerp and while I was trying to discuss it calmly (I swear) . . He hung up on me !!
Gotta say, Uber Eats delivery was on top of it through order to delivery. He was quick! He got a good tip . Wasn't his fault y'all gave him a cold dried up potato !! Do better.

And YES I did eat it !! I was hungry. Funds and food are both low 😥

It's been nearly 6 ½ years since we've had Dickey's. The last time, while we were residing in Spokane Valley,WA. This location, DID NOT disappoint! Both orders (3 Meat Plate & Southern Pulled Pork Sandwich Combo) were as delicious as we remembered! KUDOS & continued success!

I had door dash deliver never been in there building so cant honestly rate atmosphere. Quick service . Best part of the entire meal was the potato salad. Beans are way to spicy. But thats just me. Now i ordered a half rack of ribs. And i got that. But when they make you choose a bbq sauce even to place the order and it shows up very dry with no sauce. Im guessing no resturants in or around norman oklahoma dont teach their wait staff proper customer service. Or how to understand what the customer wants.But they sure throw the tip option at you.ive been to sevral resturants in the norman area and only two actully has awesome customer service. Jimmys eggs and pizza palace new owner and new mangars at the pizza palace are great.
