I love this place! The owner is super friendly, always recognizes repeat customers, and always makes sure you get what you need. And the food is great! I have celiac and am not always sure if a restaurant will be able to feed me safely, but I talk to the owner and I know for sure it will be right. Have been going here for years and always have a great experience. You should try it out! They're a local place that doesn't get enough recognition. SO much better than a chain restaurant!
Dietary restrictions: Like I said, the owner makes sure my food is safe for celiacs every time. So happy!

We came here after reading the reviews. My chicken was tough in my enchiladas, my husband got the pork burritos. There was very little pork in the burritos. The salsa was good.

We had a lovely experience here. The food was delicious and we enjoyed talking with Jesus about Mexican and US history in the last century. Felt like we were invited for a home cooked meal!

Los Compadres has quickly become a staple in our house for Mexican dining. They are so friendly and the entire staff works as a team to ensure you and your party are well taken care of. The food is fast, hot, authentic, and affordable. They accommodate our special needs kiddos seamlessly and it is low stress for us parents. Win-win!
I’m not giving a lower score, because it’s local and everyone has different tastes, and I’m a suburban white guy so take my opinions for what they are. But if you’re like me, I will offer my perspective:I won’t go here again, just simply because the food is very bland and doesn’t have much flavor to me. Some may like that. I didn’t think the consistency was amazing either. The food wasn’t bad or gross or anything, and the store was clean, although the men’s room was out of paper towels.I ordered carne asada street tacos and a burrito. I will say, I don’t think they are used to to-go orders so maybe just dine in if you’re going here. I got my food and there wasn’t any sauce or anything for the tacos. I went back in and politely asked for hot sauce and napkins. They gave em to me but he said “why didn’t you just eat inside?” so yeah I think they aren’t used to people taking food to go.Another interesting thing was when I was asking what comes in the burrito, I said well I know it’ll be good no matter what, and he said “it’s made by an actual real Mexican, so it’s going to be good” which I thought was weird. Mexicans make food everywhere, they are also in the kitchen at burger joints and all kinds of places. We are used to Mexicans making food, especially at Mexican restaurants so it’s nothing new. But I think he was just being friendly and chatty with me. Just kind of an off statement. The dude was probably Mexican himself btw, as he had explained to me that he has the best English out of anyone there but that it’s still not great. The chips and salsa and queso were good. No complaints there. Definitely nothing amazing, but I don’t even expect chips n salsa at a place that isn’t Tex Mex so that’s fine. I found it funny a dude made a review on here saying he had hoped for authentic Mexican food but was disappointed and didn’t like the queso LOL. Calling food authentic or not is just super vague and dumb anyway. If it’s real ingredients, the food is authentic. And if you’re wanting authentic Mexican, you’re not expecting queso..Anyway, that’s my experience. From a suburban white guy who enjoys taquerias, taco trucks, and Tex-Mex alike, I found this food to be bland, and I found the beans to be odd-tasting. But clearly there are many who like the food here so no hard feelings!
