Where do I even start. Was so excited to try this new place with my roommates as we had such high hopes. We walk in on a Friday night expecting more people only to see none. The lady who helped us was very nice, however the food took longer than expected and was very mediocre. The chips were so bad and the queso tasted like nothing. The vibes were sooo weird. We are very talkative gals and we were completely silent because the vibes were so down. Will not be returning.

We've been excited for Recess to open, driving by their closed location for almost a year. That said, we will never return. The one staff member was very kind. However, the food was very poor. Chips were stale. Salsa was akin to Picante sauce you'd buy from the store. The queso was tasteless. The fajita steak taco was chewy and lacked flavor. To top it all off, the bench on our table fell apart as soon as we sat down. We did receive a refund. However, the food was some of the worst food I've ordered in a long time. They advertise beer and margs on their signage, but have no liquor license. I've had better nachos at a middle school baseball game. The rest of the furniture looks like it could fall apart at any moment.

this taco shop is so amazing. my team and i went to take pictures then me and 1 other girl went back like an hour later bc we were down the street for some chips salsa and a taco. the person working was very nice and food was amazing. the set up was so nice and peaceful with the music! coming back soon!

Their website, Yelp and Google all say they're open 11-9 on thursdays. Stopped by today (Thursday at 1:10) and all their doors are locked? Was super excited to try this place.
Tried this place last weekend. Was hopeful about it being great but man was I disappointed. There was hardly any meat in the tacos. Like maybe 2 tbsp a piece, the nachos were lacking meat as well. I was excited for the street corn and that was a let down as well. I really wanted this place to be good and a regular for me but I can't justify the amount of money spent on less than food.I hope things get better for this place.

Damn good food. Well priced and the tortillas are great…..really enjoyed the jackfruit tacos and quesadillas! Prickly pear margs hit the spot too ?. Plenty of open seating.

Admittedly we got the nachos and not the tacos, so please read my review with that in mind but the food was almost inedible. We had been excited about trying this place, having tried to come here multiple times to find it closed at random times although Facebook had marked it “open.” So when we found it open on a Sunday afternoon we jumped at the opportunity to try the food although it was in between meal times and we were not overly hungry. We got the nacho combo with the pork. It came with a side of rice and beans. The side items were good and we took those home with us. We couldn’t tell if it was ONLY the chips but if that was all it was then they need to dump those chips and buy new ones. The chips had an almost chemical taste to them that the queso and meat couldn’t overpower and since we haven’t been there before and had nothing to compare it to we were unsure if this was normal for the establishment. For over $15 definitely not somewhere we will be returning even though we were hoping to have found a cool place to bring our dogs and hang out.
