I haven't been to the Red Lobster in ages but after hearing about it's turnaround, my friend and I decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The food tasted great, signature cocktails were awesome and our service was excellent I knocked out one star for the interior that seems to be the same as before, but overall I recommend you to give it a shot again

Haven't been to Red Lobster since the new menu was released in Nov 2024. Removed almost everything resulting in a limited menu. This is forcing you to purchase a boil plate that is over priced for what you get for $40. For a starter we ordered calamari, it had absolutely no seasoning, no Old Bay at all, it was rubbery and bland. The batter was falling off before even dipping in the marinade that comes with it. It also come with a so called Jalapeño dip that is nothing more than thousand island dressing with an overload of chili powder, disgusting. The cheddar bay biscuits had no cheese or Old Bay in it, just a buttery biscuit with parsley on top. I ordered the Admirals platter and my wife ended up ordering a shrimp boil. The Admiral platter didn't have one speck of Old Bay seasoning on anything including the Chesapeake fries which is why they call them Chesapeake fries. The scallops were the size of dimes with no flavor with some being hard as a rock and some like chewing a piece of playdough. They were so small they should be illegal to pull out of the water that size. The hush puppies which are now a side that needs purchased were the size of a marble and doughy. The Flounder was brittle with no flavor, the clams were very small and some were like chewing a rubber band on some and some were fried to death. I thought i could doctor the platter up by asking for a small bowl of Old Bay to sprinkle on but it didn't help the flavor one bit. Madeline the server was the only good thing about our visit to the restaurant. I grew up on the Chesapeake bay eating seafood for over 40 years as well as retiring from the Navy after 26 years I know what seafood is supposed to taste like and this isnt it. If your looking for seafood this isnt your place. The new CEO needs fired for screwing up the entire menu and dish selection.

We were a party of 6 with a turning 13 year old birthday too. Makiah took great care of us!! Constantly checked on us and kept our biscuits and drinks full while we waited on our food. The food was delicious and fresh. We even got Makiah to organize a birthday singing by her and other employees for our birthday boy. Thank you Makiah and Red Lobster! Makiah deserves a raise.
