We had a birthday party for my daughter and mother-in-law today. Piper and the rest of the staff were very accommodating for our large group. The food and beverages were served in a timely manner. We were able to relax and enjoy the celebration. This was our first time at Saltgrass and everyone loved it!

Made reservations 1 month ahead of thanksgiving for 3 pm to have thanksgiving turkey dinner and when we were seated and waiter came to take our order we were told they were already out of the thanksgiving dinner and it was only for while supplies lasted. We should have been told this when making a reservation a month ahead of time. Will never go again to this restaurant ever!

When we came for dinner our steaks were cooked perfectly and so was the shrimp. The potatoes were hot & fluffy and the salads were fresh and crisp. I cant remember ever having a bad experience here.

Look. The staff was nice. But the prices and food quality is just not what it used to be. $35 for a Kroger cut of steak is just not worth it. $20 for country fried steak. Salt grass used to set the standard. Now it’s no better than a cheap steakhouse. But that’s what dining out has become.

$95 total including tip for two with one glass of wine. Again staff was great at this location. They don’t set pricing nor the cooking standards.

Eating out just is not worth it anymore.

Stopped by Salt Grass for dinner and had a mixed experience. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with fried onions. It was decent—crispy coating, melted cheese on top, and the onions added a nice crunch. Portion felt a little small, and the gravy could’ve used more flavor. Not bad, just not memorable.

The complimentary bread they brought out was a win—warm, soft, and buttery. Definitely a comforting start.

Grilled Redfish with Shrimp & Broccoli – 3/5

Tried the grilled redfish with shrimp and broccoli at Salt Grass. The presentation was solid, but the portion of fish felt a little skimpy for the price. Flavor-wise, it was mild—could’ve used a heavier hand with the seasoning to really bring out the richness of the fish.

The grilled shrimp had good seasoning, but they were noticeably overcooked, which made them a bit tough. Broccoli was fresh and steamed well, but nothing special.

Overall, it was a decent plate, but not something I’d rush to order again. If they bump up the portion size and dial in the cooking time on the shrimp, it could be a much stronger dish.

The real standout was the stuffed jalapeños with crab and cheese. Deep-fried, not spicy, but packed with flavor and a great crunchy texture. Easily the highlight of the meal.

My cousin had the chopped steak with a baked potato. It looked and tasted more like a hamburger patty with cheese and toppings. Not bad, but the name oversells it a bit.

Overall, service was solid, atmosphere casual and welcoming. I’d come back for the jalapeños and bread, but the main dish left me wanting a little more.

If wrangling a large party was an Olympic sport, Piper, Sean, and Kinzie would’ve brought home the gold — and Jackie (the manager) would’ve been their proud coach on the sidelines cheering them on!

Our group rolled into Saltgrass Steak House in Norman like a small army of hungry cowboys, and somehow, this crew handled us with smiles, perfect timing, and ice-cold drinks that never ran dry. The food came out hot, the steaks were cooked exactly right (a miracle when you’ve got this many people), and somehow, they made it all feel easy and fun.

Jackie checked in several times to make sure everything was perfect — and it was! The servers were funny, patient, and on top of every single detail. We laughed, we ate too much, and no one’s drink ever went empty — a true Saltgrass success story.

10/10 — would absolutely saddle up anphotos
