I used to order take out from here relatively often. I’ve taken someone here on date before and my date did not like the food, but I tried to reassure them that the food is really good.
This week I ordered some chicken tikka masala for pick up, and within hours I was violently sick from food poisoning. I’ve never been this sick from takeout food before.
I did my due diligence, I called the restaurant and told the manager. The manager tried to tell me they have never had anyone become food poisoned at their restaurant before.
I told him I didn’t eat much else when I ordered the food and when I went to work shortly after I quickly realized I was sick from the food. He quickly reassured me it couldn’t possibly be from the food. I wasn’t even asking him for a refund like i would prefer or at the very least a complimentary meal.
I called the manager simply to try to prevent other people from getting sick and he wasn’t even listening to me. I decided to check the reviews and lo and behold there are several people who have communicated food poisoning from their food in the past.
This sucks. I’m disappointed. Indian food is my go to comfort food. I guess I’ll have to explore other Indian restaurants in Norman, OKC, Moore, and beyond

We absolutely adore Taste of India. My husband and I come in several times a month- so much that the owner recognizes us by our order. When he sees us walk in, he comes over to greet us personally. He and his team are so kind and make the most delicious food- it truly is our favorite meal ever. We have tried many things, but our favorite is paneer tikka masala (zero spicy!! 😂😅), samosas, naan, and kheer. Other great items are the saag paneer, chicken tikka, chicken biryani, curry- so many delicious dishes. Taste of India is a treasure in Norman and we feel so grateful to have this wonderful restaurant in our community. Thank you!!

I usually try to steer away from leaving negative reviews on restaurants. But I could not let this go. Last night was the first night that I have had this restaurant. I ordered it on DoorDash. I got the chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, and chicken pakora.
The pakora and the chicken tikka masala were quite spicy. I don't mind spice if I am expecting it. But on the DoorDash menu it did not indicate that either of those dishes would be spicy, nor did it give me the option to choose a spice level. Which was unusual to me because other Indian restaurants I've been to give you that option. Aside from being spicy the food was bland. The only flavor was spice. The basmati rice was also quite dry. I'm willing to admit they could have had an off night last night. But I am quite disheartened that that was my first experience. Based on the reviews I was expecting to have a stellar meal and instead was quite disappointed. It makes me sad because there were quite a few things on their menu that I was also interested in trying, but as a result of my experience I will not be going back. I feel as if I wasted my money. I was let down to the point that I was not able to finish the food I ordered.
I'm sad that I did not get to experience the great food that so many others have been able to enjoy.
The Lamb Saag and Malai Kofta were really good! Would recommend.

Came in to pick up a DoorDash order. Was told it was getting bagged. Employee brought food out which I would obviously assume is mine, mumbled at me, then berated me after I tried grabbing the food he sat down because it was for someone else versus making that clear to me. Super rude. The restaurant is also incredibly stinky. I would never recommend eating here given how nasty the employees are to their couriers.

Truly fantastic food at a reasonable enough price. I really love their food. However, ordering online can be such a pain because they’ll give you a 25 minute estimate and then you end up waiting an additional 30-40 minutes on top of that original 25. It would be one thing if there was communication as I wait for my order or at least some sort acknowledgement of these mishaps but neither of those things occur.
