I’m pretty sure the cheese inside the cheese enchilada is not supposed to be shredded and cold. Courtney is a real peach to talk to on the phone. My husband was out of here with that order before I could get my boots on. If she wants my addy; we could continue the discussion in my front yard.

Ted’s Cafe Escondido in Norman absolutely blew us away. Hands-down, they serve the best tortillas and tortilla chips I’ve ever had—fresh, warm, and unbelievably delicious. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with care.
I also couldn’t believe how incredibly fast our food came out—seriously, we barely had time to snack on those amazing chips before the entrees hit the table. It was impressive without ever feeling rushed.
But the real standout of the night was Tyler, our server. He was, without a doubt, one of the most personable, professional, and genuinely warm servers I’ve ever had at any restaurant. He struck the perfect balance of being attentive without hovering, made fantastic recommendations, and kept the vibe upbeat and welcoming the entire time. You can tell he takes real pride in what he does—and it made a huge difference in our dining experience. Tyler truly elevated the whole visit from great to unforgettable.
The atmosphere and decor were also spot-on—colorful, festive, and full of Mexican charm. You walk in and instantly feel the good energy.
If you’re anywhere near Norman, run, don’t walk, to Ted’s. Incredible food, fast service, and an unforgettable experience, especially if you’re lucky enough to be seated in Tyler’s section!
