Nowata Depot Cafe Reviews
Drove from Owasso for their pork tenderloin sandwich and hand breaded onion rings. Arrived at Noon and restaurant was only 20% filled. Took 45 minutes to receive our sandwiches. They were very good but they overcooked the onion rings. Definitely burnt - inedible. Since the waitress never returned, I told the cashier- she just smiled and charged me for them anyway. We won’t be back!
We have family that goes there multiple times a week, and we eat there every time we are in town. Came this morning to get breakfast and our waitress got upset with something that was said and we waited an hour and still hadn’t got our food. Me and my husband had to leave without getting to eat. While waiting on our party, me and my husband didn’t get our coffee cups filled for at least 30 minutes. Horrible Service!!!! Bad business!
Excellent food and the people are friendly.

Nowata Depot Cafe serves home cooking comfort food in a historic building with a unique atmosphere. Located near train tracks, diners can enjoy their meals while watching trains pass by. The restaurant's fish dinner and chicken fried chicken dinner are highly recommended, with generous portions and great flavor. A novel idea is to place a biscuit at the bottom of the bowl, topped with cream of chicken soup. The restaurant offers a variety of sides that do not disappoint. The servers are polite, patient, and friendly, contributing to a top-notch customer service experience. The food is consistently good, with big burgers, chicken fingers, and chicken fried steak that are all tasty. The food comes out quickly, and staff members often refill drinks before being asked and offer to-go drinks as customers leave. Visitors from nearby towns have praised the crispy chicken sandwich and hand-breaded onion rings, although some experienced overcooked onion rings and less attentive service. Overall, this family-owned hidden treasure is worth the drive and visit, making it a popular destination for many regular customers.
