Basil Mediterranean Cafe

My favorite restaurant! Basil is affordable and comfortable. They have gluten free options and vegan/ vegetarian options! Though the chicken is delicious! The tea 🫖 is so good, and they have medicinal options! The saf cold tea is also great for depression and anxiety! The atmosphere is so relaxing and calming. It’s one of the few places where I can go eat alone and not feel weird about my decision to do so! It’s also a great place to go on a date or just go with friends. I’ve done all of the above and it’s always been perfect!
They also sell their own brands of honeys and teas to take home, which are lovely!

Love this place the food is good.

The pesto hummus was delicious. Had the lentil soup and the combination chicken and meat plate also very good. Definitely worth going to.

Good value for the amount of food, especially for fast-food Persian. The portion sizes were generous. The meat was a bit dry, but the flavors overall were satisfying. Friendly staff.

The food is savory and customer service is consistently excellent!

A nice, beautifully decorated restaurant. Food was absolutely perfect and delicious!

I had a great experience at Basil. I ordered the Chardonnay Chicken. It was so delightful. There was enough rice to feed an army! The chicken thighs were juicy and flavorful. The pita was warm and soft. I got a chocolate latifa (sp?) to go for dessert. You can tell this is a popular place because there was a hardly a spot available to sit, and there was a diverse population of people eating lunch. They also do a large call-in order business, so there were many folks coming and going in the restaurant.

Parking was horrible but everything else was wonderful

Love the food!

Food was amazing and very flavorful. A great contrast to fast and fried food on 23rd st. Staff is very friendly and patient with those of us that didnt quite know what we were ordering. This is a new staple for us.

Basil Mediterranean Cafe is a hidden gem! The gyros are incredible—definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. The tabouli is a standout dish that I can’t recommend enough. The decor adds a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the unique light lamps create a cozy vibe. Everything about this place makes for a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend! Five stars!
