We did not enjoy this experience at all. The scallops were not properly cooked and tasted off (only 2 in the serving). The branzino was terrible, grey and not properly cooked and was not very fresh and the vegetables were raw. We had to return it and leave. Although we were reimbursed for the starter and mains we could not eat we would not recommend this restaurant.
A great find in NYC. Great food, good variety, and for NYC....the prices were pretty reasonable. Our server was outstanding.
Pre-Knicks game reservation, but what we had was very good. Friendly service, nice vibe (I thought it was a little chilly but maybe it was just me). Had a great rum old fashioned to start, the grapefruit bitters made it very interesting. Their Perfect Mule, with pear, is also a winner. We shared the burrata, basic but nicely executed with pesto and good cherry tomatoes. If I had one criticism, there are easily better bread options. I was between Churasco steak and osso buco. Our server said ossobuco, they haven't changed the recipe since something like 1989. Damn it was good. It's hard to jam a lot of flavor into those cuts, and they use some sorcery with anise to do just that. Saffron risotto was a great match, a hair too al dente perhaps? Chilean Sea Bass was served with a vegetable medley (ratatouille) and crispy leeks. Simple, well executed, very tasty. Not trying to do too much here and from what we had, the food speaks for itself.
Repeat customer. Friendly attentive and fun staff. Excellent cocktails, bargain happy hour. Great food well prepared. A bit pricy but worth it. Old school intimate experience which is becoming more rare. Congenial and friendly owner. Very pleasant atmosphere. Highly rated. You will love.it!
1st visit - v friendly - great service - delicious soup - split a sandwich - short rib - tasty - skip the spicy aioli
A quaint spot with wonderful service, the steak sandwich and pasta with shrimp were delicious.
Dined here before a show. Restaurant wasn't too busy, we ate upstairs and found the temp was a bit too low for our liking. Food was decent.
It was obnoxious that for two refills of coke we got charged an additional $10 for a total of $15. The gnocci was supposed to come with cognac sauce- which did not taste anything like it. The burger was small.
The staff was lovely upon arrival and while there. The waiter provided great input about the menu. It's close enough to the theater district with good quality food that's worth the price.
Our first time dining at your restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Will recommend to anyone that visits NY and would like to have an outstanding Dinner experience. Happy New Year! Loprete Family.

Very nice place, great servers. Cocktail was delicious. But was a little disappointed that even though we had an early dinner, they were out of some items on the menu already. But food was delicious.
We dined here on a girls trip to NY. This was one of my best dining experiences ever in NY! The service was simply amazing. The lighting was soft and warm and the ambience was welcoming. Highly recommend Bstro 38!!!
We had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in till we left. The people, the service and the food. We had a party of ten and it was amazing. Highly recommend
Food was good but some of the members of our group had luke warm food. Service was incredibly slow and kitchen seemed under staffed. Server seemed as though she didn't want be working. Not on par for a restaurant with good reviews. Incredibly disappointing.
Perfect place for lunch. Great service and nice menu selection - something for everyone which is important when dining with teens!
