The burger was overcooked; the tacos were dry and rice was very old with hard old rice on the side; had to ask for everything; self serve made service worse as the servers were huddled around each other rather than doing anything

Our server was slow and inattentive. He asked us if we were still waiting on our food? Like yes and shouldn't he know that? He's our server. We had been waiting for 30 minutes. It took another 20 minutes to receive food. We also had to track him down to pay. So disappointing. We love this restaurant but it's been very inconsistent lately. 😔 I also think I was overcharged for my mimosas but I didn't want to even address it with him.

We were the last guests before the 2pm Sunday close. Food was good but nothing to guarantee a 2nd visit. I asked what menu was served lunch or brunch was told lunch but that was not true.. The wait staff did the very least in the level of custom service basically ignore us then apologize and then disappearing again. Asked for the dessert menu only not to receive it The priority of the the staff was to ignore and then rush us out even my tip was ignored so I kept it...remember the last customer can be your best.

Nice place, decent food but TERRIBLE service! First and last time here. We were ignored and never received what we asked for...staff had their noses in their cell phones!!

Waited for 15 min for a server to appear. Took drink orders, disappeared for 10 more min returned without drinks because she “couldn't find the bartender. Took our order came back saying they had no tanqueray, or coors original food came accompanied by our salads which should have come out ahead of the meal but we are now way over 30 min in, the food is all cold and barely cooked. They don't have any straws, explanation about their supply chain issues. In summary it was a fiasco. Bad service, inept management, poor food quality. No wonder there were few diners there.

We sat on their back patio, which has somewhat limited ambiance, but both the food and service were very good. Special appreciation for the hostess who muscled tables around so our party could sit in the shade.

We had a delightful dinner with friends. The food snd drinks were good. The initial service for drinks was slow but the rest of the meal was served in a timely manner.

Yum!! This place is great and in a great location. The decor is cool too. We were immediately greeted, and as we had a reservation we were then seated. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful. We all enjoyed our dishes. Yum! Can't wait to go back!!

I usually enjoy my experience at Café 501. This is my first and only complaint regarding my most recent visit-our wait person seemed slightly put off by waiting on us. This person's subtle "attitude" put a damper on our experience which is normally very positive. While times are challenging right now, this person may of had a bad day or is maybe like this always but they were certainly not the best representation of Café 501.

It took over an hour to get our food. I feel certain the staff was overwhelmed and short staffed. If that was the case, they shouldn't have seated the whole restaurant. Service isn't normally so slow. We will give them another chance.
