Ordered the chili relleno, was very bland no flavor, rice the same way and the potatoes were under cooked and too hard to eat. Service was good though. My opinion is that it’s over priced and no flavor. Spent $28 with tax. So not worth it.

Holy crap! This place is fantastic! My husband ordered Carne Asada, which was amazing. I ordered the Spicy Motuleño with longaniza. It was massive. Listen! I can normally only eat 6-8 bites of food. I just get full. But I devoured the entire plate because it was so great! The Trio aperitivo with the Salsa Cobanera and chirmol was also fantastic! We also got housemade limeade, a cortado & a Mazapan Latte. What?! We do not get sweet coffee drinks EVER! I expected this one to be disgustingly sweet, but my husband & I thought it sounded so great with toasted peanut. It was so unexpected. Not too sweet. Super earthy & dang delicious! The cortado was a proper cortado & lovely. The service was some of the best I've had in years. What is this 2005? They are pumping amazing food and service out at this delightful restaurant & we loved it. Would recommend when in OKC!

We were just traveling through the area, and interestingly, the owner of the restaurant we ate at last evening highly recommended this place before we left town. We were so glad we took their advice! I loved the tomatillo sauce on the Chilaquies. My husband enjoyed his Huevos Rancheros, and my Mocha was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

A friend picked this gem out for lunch/brunch meet up. Was greeted with a delicious cup of soup that set the stage. We started with a shared Tres Leches concha, coffees, and we all ordered separate meals. Staff was nice and accommodating of us having luggage and being a large group.

Popped in on a whim, and I'm glad I did! The chilaquiles was delicious, I got a cup of their specialty chai, and I was set for the rest of the day! Will be back!

I try to review according to what a place is and what it's trying to be. I'm slightly confused by Cafe Antigua.
We recently grabbed an order of guac, spicy motuleño, and a smothered burrito. The guac and motuleño were great--good flavors, well portioned, etc., though the burrito was quite bland. It was mostly (unseasoned) rice, though lackluster even looking past that.
Is Cafe Antigua a hole in the wall, is it an authentic Guatemalan spot, or is it influencer-promoted brunch? It'd be pricey for a hole in the wall. The menu has quite a bit of fusion (no complaints from me), so I wonder about the hype that it's super authentic. It's a solid spot among those on tiktok or whatever, though it's not an aesthetic, group-friendly spot you'd imagine as brunch. Nevertheless, clearly business is doing great.
I suppose I'd enjoy Antigua more if it was focused on being authentic, or if it was known as a hole in the wall, offering that special value proposition. To my taste, Cafe Antigua has not combined their qualities in a way that makes it great.

A lesson the workers at Cafe Antigua need to learn is that just because someone doesn’t look like they speak or understand Spanish, doesn’t mean they can’t. One of my group members took genuinely 15 seconds to realize it was her plate the waiter was holding. The waiter became visibly upset and began muttering under his breath in Spanish thinking we didn’t understand, but I did. This isn’t the only issue with the service I had but I don’t want to ramble.
The food left a lot to be desired as someone familiar with the cuisine. The smothered burrito was so bland I genuinely could only taste the avocado on top. The Spicy Motuleño was enjoyable. I’d consider going back because the coffee and plantains were good. But the service made me feel so frustrated it’ll be awhile before I try again. Maybe don’t treat your customers like they’re idiots and don’t assume they can’t hear you, cause we all definitely did.
