The food here is always delicious and the ladies that work here are nice. My only real complaint is that every time I've been here one of the employees' daughters is always running around the restaurant. The last time we were there the daughter had her mother's phone and was taking pictures of me and my family which was very uncomfortable and upsetting. The chairs are also really heavy, hard to move and the bathroom is quite small, not suitable for larger sized people.

've eaten here several times, and I just love this place. My whole family does, too. The food is really to our liking, the menu is large, and the people are nice. They also make my favorite Margueritas!

Been to this spot more times than I can count—and for good reason. This is hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants around. I’ve worked my way through a good chunk of the menu, and let me tell you, not a single dish has disappointed. Every bite brings flavor, quality, and consistency.
Now, a quick heads-up: the queso isn’t complimentary, so don’t be surprised when it shows up on your bill. But trust me, it’s worth every cent. As for the salsa—it’s not your typical blend. It’s got its own twist, a unique kick that sets it apart. Different? Yes. Delicious? Absolutely.
If you're looking for a place that delivers every time, this is it. Authentic food, solid service, and a menu that never gets old. Highly recommend.

Delicious Mexican food, some of the best we've had in OKC. Fundita fajitas are amazing. Decent drink selection, large menu, and good service. We've been sad since Armando's closed but have fully recovered now that we found this gem.

The food here was pretty good. The service was good and fast. My only complaints are that it was very loud. You could hear everybody's conversation at the tables around you. And the prices are a little high compared to similar mexican restaurants. Overall it's a good place to eat.

Small, family restaurant. Clean and comfortable in an architectural style of the 90’s. Feels old school but the quality is there.
Huge portion sizes! Show up hungry.

Great Mexican food. Best I personally have found here so far for more of a texmex place. It hit all the spots ,service was good. They have the white queso that miss from back home not exactly the same but was definitely close enough to hit that craving. It is a touch more then I normally see around here but the portions explain that and I have 0 complaints ! ( I had the Pollo con queso it was great )
Kid-friendliness: Was easy to keep them entertained and they have little toys for 50 cents at entrance to entice your little ones to be good through dinner haha

Underwhelming set up, paid extra for cheese dip that looks like spackle.
The chicken flautas were flour pockets filled of chicken stew meat.
Beer was reasonably priced though.
Way too many other choices before I would patronize this place again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chápala Family Mexican Kitchen while visiting my client, who is also the owner of this fantastic establishment. It was my first visit, and I must say, having tried numerous Mexican restaurants, this one stands out as one of the best for authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered the Machaca Plate, and the combination of meat and eggs was absolutely delightful. The Mexican rice took me back to my childhood, reminiscent of the meals I enjoyed at home with my parents. They also serve ranchero and refried beans, which complemented the meal perfectly. It was refreshing to find a Mexican restaurant that offers genuine flavors rather than the typical Tex-Mex style found in Oklahoma. If you're craving an authentic Mexican experience, Chápala Family Mexican Kitchen is a must-visit. And if you do stop by, be sure to let Sergio Arceo know that you’re dining in after reading the Google Review by his Realtor, Juan Casas.
