Overall it was a very good experience with food and service. It is a pretty noisy place, so not a first choice for a quiet dinner. Other than that though certainly recommended.

This was our first visit to Cheever's and we will be going back. The restaurant ambiance, service, menu - everything was a ten. My husband had the chicken fried steak and portion was huge. I had the Halibut and it too was delicious and too much to eat so another night to not cook! A win win for sure!!

Cheever's food is some of the most flavorful I've had anywhere. It's decor is sophisticated and lovely. The acoustics are good so you don't have to raise your voice to be heard. We will definitely go back. Oh yes, and the prices are reasonable.

The overhead lighting needs to be dimmed. I do not like to eat at most of the tables. My husband and I looked around at numerous tables where people had a bright light beating down on their face and head. I found it very uncomfortable when it happened to me at a previous visit. It's bad enough to keep me from eating there.

The staff was excellent and my meal was far beyond what I consider an exquisite meal and fueled me enough to make it through the rest of my class here in the city. Thank you Cheevers. 💜

Our meal started with drinks and bread; both excellent. I highly recommend the Preservation cocktail. My wife ordered the Salmon and was extremely pleased with it. I ordered the Grilled Ribeye dinner. The mashed potatoes were not hot; perhaps lukewarm. The steak was 14 ounces according to the menu. Unfortunately this particular steak was not marbled, but did have a significant amount of fat at one end. I believe it was at best a 10 ounce steak with about 4 ounces of fat I had to cut off. The remaining portion was not marbled. The remaining portion was satisfactory in flavor and preparedness, but did not meet the threshold I would expect for a $49 ribeye steak. The ambience is good and the overall experience good.
