Pay zero attention to the recent 1-star reviews. Specifically Brianna Cope and the other similar reviews made by their fake accounts. Not only did the staff go out of their way to make their “burnt” fried veggie basket for them again, they also took on an onslaught of verbal harassment and handled it all as they should have. Said tweakers who left the reviews even ordered a ribeye and tried to cancel it when it came out. They refused to pay, even after much reasoning with them. They were told to pay or the cops would be called. This didn’t sit well, so they’re trashing a well-established restaurant with 100% false accusations.Eat Chequers! I promise it’s good!
My family and I come here all the time and we absolutely love it here! The staff is amazing! They take their time and make sure that everything is prepared just how you asked for it. They are very easy going and they all have great personalities. Support your family owned and operated businesses and restaurants!
We love Chequers! They always have what we like to eat and it is always fixed to perfection. The atmosphere is cars. oil signs, and photos. There is a bar on site, most likely you will never know. They also have tvs playing sports programs.Very quaint little place.
Very well priced and the staff is nice! Our appetizer the blooming onion was delicious! Just don’t get the chicken parmesan, it wasn’t good. The side salad was ehhh. Everything else though was really good! Especially the fried ice cream, I highly recommend trying it!
I really wanted this place to be good as we live so close and myself being in the restaurant business.. unfortunately we walked in we were greeted and seated. So far so good, the host took our drink order and 7 minutes later a server came by to get our drink order we told her the hostess got our order but she said she wanted to get it anyways. We gave her the order along with appetizers.. 10 minutes later still no drinks.. waitress came back by and asked if we wanted waters.. which we had asked for anyways the first two times.. told her yes… another 5-7 minutes went by still no water still no drinks.. she walked by us atleast 8 times. So we got up and left… I would also be more understanding if they were busy, they were not…. So disappointed
We picked up an order this evening. We ordered a catfish dinner with cheese sticks. The fish only tasted like grease and salt, the fries were awful and the cheese sticks were burned and dried out. We’ve been customers for YEARS and never had a bad meal whether we ate inside or got take out. My husband called to ask for a refund. He was told he had to bring the food back to the restaurant. We aren’t wasting gas to return a very bad meal. We were told that the owner requires the food to be brought back. They did offer us a free meal but this will be the last time we go to this restaurant after 30+ years. $25 down the drain.
I visited this establishment with my family for Father’s Day. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Our waitress was extremely helpful and very kind. We ordered the blooming onion and the chips and queso as appetizers. The blooming onion was exceptional, but the chips and queso were very bland. Onto my entree, which I couldn’t finish due to mashed potatoes being almost ice cold was decent. I enjoyed the chicken fried chicken, and the side salad was subpar. Due to this being a family favorite restaurant I may return, but it won’t be my first choice.
Portions were big. Appetizers were delicious. Cake was a let down but I had it to go...so not sure if it would have been better there.
I've been coming to this fine establishment since I was a child. Now I take my children here. The Monte Cristo is amazing. The spinach dip is delicious. I still have fun looking at the wall of cars. Definitely a place to try out if you've never been.
I was really close to giving this 5 stars. I haven't lived in Midwest City long and always pass by. But I have to say everything was made to perfection. The waitresses are really really nice.

Chequers serves a menu that falls short of Louie's, but is similar in some ways. I wish they would offer fried sweet potatoes in lieu of french fries. Their side salad is a bit skimpy, but you can add it to your meal.
Asked for butter and cheese on baked potato and gravy on mashed. Order was to go. Got home, no butter and cheese on baked and no gravy on mashed. 6 miles to far to go back.
Chequers always has amazing food! I'm looking at you Monte Cristo. I took off a star for the often slow service, but I think they may be understaffed, like so many places today, and if you have the time, it's worth a wait for their food! Go here, eat, enjoy! They also have awesome virgin drinks. As a currently pregnant woman, I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate that non-alcoholic drink menu. Yum!
I had the half size skins and a cold beer. Staff was nice and welcoming. Skins were good. Maybe add some fresh chives to liven things up.
We used to come here quite often, the chips are usually really good, we got into a little issue with the manager Because the dessert we ordered was absolutely disgusting and was in the fridge too long had that nasty taste, we had one bite and asked if we could just take it off or get something else and she got super angry and said we need to read the description better and no not going to do a refund or anything, u get what u get and walked off and mouthed off which is Soo professional, Like um it's not the description it's the food lol, either way we came back a few times after that, we still got glares from her she's a blonde older woman and the other waitresses of course, but lately the food hasn't been great, nor the atomsophere, they are all rude, take a really long time to come to us, and they keep burning the chips and it's just not worth it anymore, unfortunately we don't recommend this restaurant at all whatsoever anymore.
