I was traveling alongside the I 35 in Oaklahoma when I stumbled across this Gem while stopping for the Night at the neighboring Loves Travel Center Across the way. Being a truck driver we are limited to our Nutritional choices and seldom to find easy accessible places within walking distance of us.I was greeted by a lovely woman named Linnie who welcomed me in took my order and made me feel rite at home. The Ambiance of the place was cozy the temperature not too cold or hot. They were playing some good old country music and some oldschool music And if a game of pool is what you were looking for, and some friendly conversation with some locals, this is a place to be, especially if you just moved around here and you want to get to know some people it seem like everybody knew each other when they walked in, they knew each other by name . It made me feel like I was watching that show. Cheers, a little bit and the ranch. Just some good old American bonding aside from the gaming tables. They had a beautiful bar that sits all the way around fully stocked with everything you could think of and many different TV shows playing at once like golf and storage wars and a movie. it was a very mellow setting with no drama and I felt very safe like I did not have to look over my back while I was in thereI usually take pictures of food when I review but a picture was the last thing on my mind I really messed up this time by not doing so, I couldn't help myself. I had to eat everything in front of me because when she when she brought that plate out to me, I was filled with all the aromas of good Oklahoma barbecue my plate had two big pieces of catfish, golden fried with a homemade tartar sauce, a side of barbecue beans that were warm to the core. Perfect for this cold weather warmed me up instantly a side of french fries, which were really good by the way barbecue sauce was incredible and their brisket and pulled pork was all the jazz washed it all down with a cold Modeli and a shot of bourbon.I'm not even kidding!This is one of the worlds best kept secrets here in Oklahoma and as a man from California all I can say is I wish I could take a piece of Oklahoma back with me that right there was customer service. Make sure that you tip this woman. She is a doll and real example when it comes to good customer service.

I was looking for a cool dive bar with food to hang at tonight and I found it tonight at the Corner Pocket - insanely great Chili Cheese Dog - friendly owner & bartender and the game on the TV! 3 pool tables and Poker nights! Just exactly what I was looking for directly across the street from the Love's. I'll be back for certain!

Two weeks ago, my window got busted out and all my belongings were stolen out of my car. Tonight, the bartender yelled at me because I was rolling up my medicinal marijuana to go smoke outside as I always did. I informed her that I was going to smoke outside and that I was just preparing it. She still yelled and threatened to kick me out if I didn't put it away immediately.I calmy packed up my stuff and told the owner, Linnie, I was leaving. I told her it's not illegal to roll or smoke in public places. She stated that it is illegal in her bar to roll it or even have it in her bar.There is no sign posted on the door or anywhere saying you can't smoke marijuana. I feel totally discriminated against because I have ailments that require me to take medicine. I dont know if it's because I'm a smoker or if it's because I'm black.Which reminds me, one of the waitresses kept calling me by another black person's name. I corrected her after the 3rd time I was there. She was such in shock and really thought I was my friend, Vic. He's ten years older than me with no facial hair. I have a full-grown beard.butMaybe we all look alEither way, it's an injustice to me and the laws in place for medical card holders such as myself.Corner Pocket smells like grease and cigarettes, and it's always hot. The two window units don't cut it. I get there clean and cool, yet I always leave hot and stinky. I would have never gone there if it wasn't for the free poker league I'm in. I'm not going back even though I stay around the corner. Based on the google reviews, you shouldn't either. I'm also informing my neighbors about my experience via our neighborhood chat.Parking: Dont park in the back. My child's mom was almost abducted from there. My vehicle was broken into and there are zero cameras on the outside of the entire building.

Mandy was so great to everyone. She was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, funny, and pretty. The Poker game was exciting. I've never played at this venue but, I intend to in the future. The alcohol breathalyzer machine was also a hoot. The pool tables were also another great addition. I'd totally recommend a stop on in if you happen to pass by.
I understand. This place is across the street from a truckstop, though the three times I went in there I did not see mini trackers. But to have such an unhealthy smoking environment is a big turn off… when I say, smoky, I mean this place will have even the most experience of smokers, choking and smelling like Marboro’s two days after they leave.. -** also what kind of bar and grill or restaurant does not serve cheeseburgers past past five? Like making a burger for your customers is too difficult…. —-and finally there’s one bartender there that is extremely rude. She is very aggressive and disrespectful in her tone., HOWEVER ON THE FLIPSIDE, I WENT BACK, IT WAS EARLIER, AND THERE WAS ANOTHER BARTENDER THERE, A BLONDE LADY, AND SHE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND EXTREMELY NICE, SO THAT KIND OF MADE UP FOR IT…. With that being said, I don’t know if I will be returning, even though the bartender was so nice … but because she was, I might go have a shot and a beer. I’ll just wear a gas mask.
