The best Asada and Al Pastor I’ve ever had. I’m an out of state guy, love OKC and will definitely be back here this week! The owner is super nice and makes everything fresh and you can tell!

Our favorite new spot. I lived in OKC years ago and still visit. Was disappointed our old place had closed. Read reviews and checked out this restaurant. Fantastic is the best word that comes to mind. The staff and owner were great. Service was great and the food was phenomenal. Portions were huge. They even brought us a sample of an item to taste the authenticness. Our new favorite spot. Reminded me of some quaint restaurants I had visited South of the border. Don't pass this up.

We picked this spot off of the many reviews that rated it 5 stars, we are from out of town and that’s how we normally find different spots to eat. We love authentic spots and this one did not disappoint! Everything was good, service amazing, will definitely come back when we are back in town !!!!

I'm writing this review for my husband. He had lunch today & has been torturing me with his glowing account of his experience. Very clean atmosphere, friendly & fast service & everything tasted amazing. He can't wait to go back & when he does, I expect him to bring a dinner (or 3) back home to me as I'm working during your hours of business. Your restaurant sounds wonderful! 5 Stars for you & only 1 star for my evil husband because he didn't bring anything back for me.

Just absolutely delightful restaurant to dine in at! They're attentive and friendly, making sure you feel comfortable and right at home - and since the kitchen is right there, there's a smokey scent that's just wonderful and works up your appetite! It's hidden between two buildings, but so worth the turn around! The food was so GOOD, so good I hardly stopped to take a picture - and tastefully spicy with their casa fuego sauce! We got the steak quesadilla and chimichanga and it was the perfect balance of cheesy and saucey - especially with the sides of beans, rice, guacamole and their salsa!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Metate, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is top-notch. Our server was attentive without hovering, and the food came out fast, hot, and beautifully presented. El Metate is the kind of place that makes you feel like family while delivering some of the best Mexican food around. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this gem is worth a visit. They never fail too disappoint I’ve been going here for a minute now and from the first time I enter their doors they treated me like family regardless of what anyone says they are the best in Oklahoma and I’m a Cali boy so I know good Mexican food .

The food was awful. I ordered a burrito with steak and there was more beans and something creamy. There was no taste to any steak if there was any steak inside. No chips and salsa when you're waiting for your food. I cannot recommend. I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur in this place is not a good Mexican restaurant. I paid $15 for nothing.
