Florence's Restaurant

Online says it’s open. Drove there yesterday, there was no one there.
Man in a truck behind the building doing work told it us it would be open “tomorrow “, Tuesday. Well it’s Tuesday and it’s still closed. Online information about this restaurant is inaccurate.
Love the restaurant, it was even featured in the Oklahoman recently and said it was open.

TEMPORARILY CLOSED

Was disappointed to drive up to the restaurant, after making a reservation via their website a week ago, to find out they are closed for renovation.

The website did not have any message about the closing and the reservation function was working.

There was no mention of closing on their Facebook or Instagram accounts, and upon closer look, they stopped posting any content since last year.

Hope they do open by April 2025 based on a poorly written whiteboard outside the restaurant.

Great food just disturbed by the hours and operations of this restaurant wish they could extend they hours you get out of church or off a long day of work you wanna have some good soul food seem like they never open these days

I have no words!!! The food was soooooooo amazing. I apologize that I am just getting to the review. Well done, ladies!!! In my party, I had with me three seasoned women (ages from 70+ to 90). They were impressed and all made happy plates!!! My spiritual mother, one of the seasoned women, never finishes her plates no matter where we dine. However, this time, she ate every bite!!!! KUDOS!!! Ms Florence, keep up the love you administer in every dish while you can!!! Ms Victoria, I know you add love to your dishes as well😃. I know this personally, you informed me that you prepared the dressing. It was sooooo delicious!!!! It was so amazing to experience the mother/daughter food creations. 'Love' covers a multitude...of deliciousness ('I' am including food with that verse-lol)!!!! I/we will most definitely be returning!!! For sure, I will continue to recommend to others that they must stop in to try!!!! God bless you!!!!

I love soul food and someone recommended restaurant to me. My first time visiting this place. Customer service was very good. The food not so good. I ordered the yam fried chicken, greens and rice and gravy and I was very disappointed in the food. My rice and gravy tasted burnt and the greens tasted like it did not have any flavor. The yams fried chicken was okay. I will not be eating here again. First time was my last time.

I have been coming here for years, but I hadn’t been in a couple years so I thought I give it ago today. The service and atmosphere was great. But the food just isn’t the same, my cabbage and macaroni and cheese was a lil over cooked and the mashed potatoes were a lil bland. For Soul Food you’re looking for flavors to be bouncing off your palette and I just didn’t get that today.

Very good soul food since 1952. Fried chicken is outstanding but small pieces. Seasoned cabbage and collard greens are to die for. Daily specials . And the sweet tea. Mmmmmm.
Give it a shot- you won't be disappointed.

There’s nothing bad about Florence’s!!! The Service is 2nd to None!!! The Atmosphere is always a Chill Vibe, they usually have some Jazz or NeoSoul music playing!
The Food is Some Home-cooking Excellence!!! I had the Smothered Hamburger Steak with mashed potatoes, cabbage and rice… Delicious!!!

I had the YAM CHICKEN! It was the best thing ever plus Cabbage, Mac & Cheese, green salad & the best cornbread ever! The best service ever! Love this place! Go try it!

I stopped by for lunch a few years ago and the food is delicious. Excellent service and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Perfect for when I am craving the home cooked taste.
