We had just left the clinic, my mom with her new cast freshly set, both of us hungry and ready for something filling. I wanted her to get some good protein in her system, so we decided to stop at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. It wasn’t just about grabbing food; it was about giving her something satisfying after a long day.

She went with a hot dog—plain, dry, just the way she likes it. I kept it simple too: a burger with meat, cheese, and pickles only. But the real test was the fries. My mom has a very particular standard when it comes to fries: they have to be crispy. Not just golden-brown, but pushed just past the normal point, to that extra-crunchy stage where every bite breaks with a snap. Most places never get it right. And if they don’t? She simply won’t eat them. To her, anything less isn’t worth the effort.

So when I walked up to the counter, I looked the attendant square in the eyes and asked if they could do us a small favor—just leave the fries in the fryer a little bit longer. “Overcook them for us,” I explained, “because we actually prefer them that way.” He nodded, caught on immediately, and even repeated it back: “Oh, so you mean just leave them in the fryer a little longer?” Exactly. And when he said he could do it, I believed him.

We got our drinks—my Dr. Pepper, her unsweet tea—and settled at a table. Within about five minutes, our order was called. And sure enough, when we opened the tray, those fries were everything we hoped for. They were perfect. Crisped to the edge of overdone, golden but with that deep crunch that my mom has been searching for in fry after fry at countless other restaurants. She didn’t just pick at them—she ate every single one. That never happens. For once, she didn’t push the fries aside; she savored them.

Her hot dog was just right. My burger was spot on. The whole meal hit the spot in exactly the way you hope it will when you’re tired, hungry, and in need of comfort. But what really stood out wasn’t just the food—it was the fact that the staff actually followed through. Plenty of times at other places, you make that kind of special request and it gets forgotten or brushed off. This time, it didn’t. And because of that, it turned into one of the best little meals we’ve had in a long time.

We left full, happy, and already knowing we’ll be coming back. Sometimes it’s the smallest detail—the crisp of a fry—that makes all the difference.

I would have given all stars if they hadn’t served me destroyed cheese curds🤷‍♂️ Everything else was well done, from the cashier greeting me to them serving me my meal I had a good time just hanging out and eating in and because it was beautiful cool day I sat outside. Great location!

I usually enjoy Freddy’s, but this visit was disappointing. I placed an order for a hamburger with lettuce and onions, but what I received was completely different and missing the toppings. When I brought it up, one of the workers was very rude and claimed she “heard me” order something else, even though she wasn’t the one who took my order and wasn’t even nearby when I placed it. I know exactly what I ordered, and instead of helping to fix the mistake, she made the situation frustrating. Customer service could definitely be improved.

Earlier I ordered a Freddys burger and a chili cheese hot dog, unfortunately the hot dog was missing. I usually check the bag to avoid these situations but this time I forgot, so it was a sour taste after driving 10-15mins home to find out the mistake.
A couple of hours later I went to an errand nearby and figured I’d call to ask if they could honor the missing hot dog, and to my surprise the kind lady said they could with my receipt!
Once I stopped by they were waiting with my order, and to my surprise they added the burger as well! They went above and beyond to correct a simple human error, I appreciate the ladies service. Good work!

My son and I stopped by Freddie’s the other day, and it did not disappoint. We both ordered burgers and fries, and everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. The burgers were juicy with a nice sear on the edges, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned.

We also tried the famous “Fry Sauce,” and it was fantastic—creamy, tangy, and the perfect complement to the fries. The service was quick, the restaurant was clean, and the overall atmosphere was casual and welcoming.

We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend if you’re craving a great burger and fries!

People that work there especially the lady at the register was kool, i didnt like the brisket burger i dont even think it was brisket i was better off putting bacon. All in all food was ok, staff was kool

Better not ask for a burger with only meat and cheese because they aren't smart enough to do something that simple. Glad I sat in drive thru for 10 minutes to get all the way home to a burger covered in mustard. Absolutely unacceptable.
