If you want to pay wayyyyy too much money for terrible products… Great American cookies at penn square mall is the place for you! Where you’ll receive terrible customer service, not only by the hourly workers but by the manager herself!
You’ll be sorely disappointed in what you pay for. Whether it’s cookies or a decorated cake.
If you want good products, good prices, and good customer service —- try a bakery, uptown grocery, or crest. If you choose to still go with Great American Cookies…. Well all I can say is you’ve been warned!!!!!!

This location in Penn is absolutely terrible. Customer service is bad, they never have anything. You can go at 11 in the morning and they have nothing. What's the point of opening? If you come 3 hours before close- you might as well forget it. We ordered a birthday cookie from the one at Quail because the one at Penn is so bad.

Over the weekend I placed an order online for a cookie cake to be picked up at 4:00 pm. When I arrived an hour later than the scheduled time at 5:00 pm, the staff looked around for my order for a few minutes before coming back to tell me that they did not make it. They said they had the order in their system and that it came through, but the cake was not made and they just told me that they could have it done in an hour if I wanted to come back later to pick it up. I was very frustrated. I, like many other people, order their cookie cakes for events. An event that was going to be starting before the hour time frame that they gave me to make the cake that should have been made a few hours prior. Why choose a time to pick up an order if the staff isn't going to be on top of the orders that come in and it won't be ready at the time you choose? I returned a few hours later around 7:00 pm and the cake was done when I came back. The same three staff members were working both times I was there, and neither time did I, at the very least, even receive an apology for their mistake. The staff working that day handled the situation terribly; they acted as if it was no big deal and that there was nothing they could do about it which only aggravated me more. If you are going to accept online orders, keep track of them. If you make a mistake, own up to it and apologize for the mistake YOU made. This will be the last time I order from the Penn Square location. I have no desire to order a cake from here anymore if it is not going to be completed at the time I select. There is no excuse for the situation if my order came through like the staff told me it did. The lack of effort on the staff's end to make the situation better was inexcusable. It wasn't just a "lack" of effort. There appeared to be NO effort at all.

I ordered two cookie cakes for my son's birthday 5 days in advance. I received a call from the manager after placing the order online to confirm I meant to order 2. I appreciated the confirmation. I arrived on a Friday at 11:30 (the scheduled pickup time), and no one could find my order and the cakes were not ready. After looking for 5 minutes they found the order and apologized that they were not ready. They asked me to come back later. I told them I was headed to the birthday lunch now, so I needed at least one. They hurried to put it together, and it looked awful and could not even read the writing. I was told that I would not be charged, which I appreciated. I let them know I would be back at 2:30 to pick up the second cake. When I went back the cake was ready, I went to pay with my card, and the machine froze, they told me they were so sorry for the inconvenience again. And that my card was not charged, and this one would be on the house too. The next day I got a notification from my card, that there was a charge at this store. I called them, and they said they were so sorry, they would refund the amount. It is 6 weeks later, I have called multiple times. One time, I was told that they were sorry, they will process the refund, the next time they said they would have the manager call me. I still have not received a response.

When I needed my cookie cake earlier than expected, they made it happen! And it was exactly what my wife had hoped for!!

Very friendly personnel! Cookies were delicious ! I love the cookies with the frosting in the middle!!! I ordered a cookie cake and it was perfectly made to my specifications!

This place is great!! I needed a last minute cookie cake and was able to get out the door with a personalized message in 30 minutes.
