I got the Mac and cheese stuffed smoked turkey leg and I really wish I would have gotten the lady’s name that was cooking with what I am assuming was Hank!!!
I did a big no no and took it back to Tulsa with me and the metal Togo box they had to give me because I got so much food kept it really hot til I got home and my wife approved!
We are both turkey leg connoisseurs and it was still steaming when I got home an hour and a half almost 2 hours after getting it! I ate the extra side of dirty rice on my way home in the car and it was seasoned to perfection with just a little bit of heat behind it and it was also AMAZING!
MAC and cheese stuffed turkey leg was so much better than expected!! MAC and cheese at other restaurants is usually just the blandest cheese sauce and over done or under cooked noodles! This Mac and cheese blew the whole family away!!
I can’t wait to bring my actual family and my work family up here to absolutely stuff ourselves silly!
Don’t sleep on hanks! Don’t let my overly wordy review deter you away!!! This is the best southern cooked food by the most outgoing amazing chef along side Hank that really made me feel so welcomed and special here! This made my top three restaurants in OKC after the first visit!! 11/10

Let me tell you....Hanks is hands down the best BBQ we've ever eaten. My husband is from the south and is a long distance over the road truck driver. Driven 48 states and Canada for 42 years. If he see's BBQ, he's stopping. He was more than impressed. He was blowed away with HANKS. Only negative thing...we don't live closer. And the staff was 1st class.

I ordered the stuffed Turkey Leg with dirty rice and strawberry cake. The turkey leg taste was bland and kind of dry overall it was tender closer to the bone. The dirty rice was very salty and tasted like it came out of a box. I did enjoy the strawberry cake. The customer service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and they do give you a lot of food. I just wished it tasted better. They have a bar in the back and they played good music and people seemed like they were having a good time

Stop by Hanks to try the mac & cheese and had to turn right back around and order a second mac & cheese and the turkey leg. The turkey leg was flavorful and it fell straight off the bone.

Wow! Mouth watering good! After spending hours at the museum up the road, we needed a snack to get us going on our road trip. The lady at the gift shop told us to try Hank’s and boy were we glad she did. Coming from California, we can honestly say this was THE BEST smoked pork ribs and fried catfish we have ever had! Not only was the food incredibly good, this place was sparkling clean, the staff was amazingly friendly and attentive. Darn it, I wish we had a Hank’s in San Diego!!

Food was pretty good but I think I can get something comparable near my house. So nothing amazingly special about it. The thing that irked me a bit was the wait time for the food. After finishing our meal, we ordered some loaded fries to go. And we sat there waiting (44 minutes to be exact since the receipt was time stamped) for our order to come up. We even saw how 2 tables were bumped before us. 44 minutes for loaded fries when there were only 5-6 tables seated at the restaurant, well you get the point. Probably won’t be going there again.
