Hefner Grill definitely our favorite place in the Oklahoma City Metro for fresh fish. I had the Ritz cracker crusted cod for the first time last night, and it was outstanding. As was the asparagus that it was served with. Seabass will always be my favorite, however!

Hefner Grill has always been one of my favorite places to eat because of food AND service. However, I made a reservation on November 21st for one of the semi-private rooms for 6 pm, December 18th. Got a confirmation right back, confirmed again on the 17th. When I got there last night both of the semi private rooms were already occupied. After many excuses by the manager, which primarily was "we can not guarantee reservations at this time of year because of so many Christmas parties." What the heck is the reason for a reservation if it is not guaranteed? I have been impressed with Hal Smith restaurants in the past but this one manager has caused me to cease to be a fan of Hefner Grill.
After much haggling, we opted to be seated in the bar area in a corner booth and the food was as good as always and Joey, our server, was outstanding. So there is that!!

I was here for a planned company function, If a restaurant can’t manage something as basic as ensuring every guest receives food, they have no business hosting events. This isn’t “a mistake,” it’s a total collapse of service and oversight. The view might be nice, but the hospitality is nonexistent. Overpriced, disorganized, and careless. I left hungry and embarrassed. Hefner Grill earned a terrible reputation that they won’t shake anytime soon.
We had our Christmas party here. The food was fantastic, everyone loved their meal. They put us in a room that was a little small for our group even though we made a reservation. The servers were friendly and provided great service

Absolutely BEST FOOD and CUSTOMER SERVICE I have had in a restaurant in a long time. There was five of us and we all ordered something different so we could share and as I tasted my husband’s sea bass I thought that was absolutely amazing until I tried my teriyaki Maui and it was even better, then the grouper even topped that. We also had the crab cakes which was the best I have ever had but the crab dip gave the crab cakes a run for the money. Now as if all that wasn’t absolutely PERFECT we had desserts and when our wonderful server Ivan suggested the toffee cake I was like that just sounds weird well let me tell you it was delicious and I know your waiting for the star of the show and let me tell you THE KEYLIME PIE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR. Now on to the service everyone was friendly from the time we walked in the door till the time we left. Our server would take the time to tell us not only the specials but the price as well he was on top of things making sure we never ran out of tea. The manager is WONDERFUL checking on us to make sure things was as we expect led them to be so with all that being said if your in Oklahoma City area it is definitely worth your time to go have dinner eat at HEFNER GRILL !!!
