Outstanding Service Malik deserves special recognition for his exemplary service throughout our visit. His attentiveness was remarkable, consistently checking on our table without being intrusive. He demonstrated genuine care for our dining experience, promptly addressing every request with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. Malik's service alone elevated what could have been a frustrating evening.
Kitchen Management Concerns Unfortunately, the kitchen's performance didn't match the front-of-house excellence. My anticipation for their Alfredo pasta was met with disappointment when I learned they were completely out of Alfredo sauce - and this was an hour and a half before closing time. Running out of such a fundamental sauce with significant service hours remaining suggests serious gaps in inventory management and shift preparation. For a restaurant to deplete basic ingredients this early in their operating day speaks to inadequate planning and forecasting. Aside from that this chicken bacon ranch pizza was delicious and the garlic bread with cheese and pepperoni was tasty.
The mismatch between service quality and kitchen preparedness was stark - while Malik provided five-star service, the kitchen's inability to maintain basic ingredients significantly detracted from the overall experience.
Practical Recommendations Call ahead: I strongly recommend phoning before your visit to confirm availability of specific menu items, especially if you have your heart set on a particular dish. Budget awareness: Be prepared for additional charges on individual ingredients and modifications, which can add up quickly.
Joey's Pizzeria has the foundation for excellence, particularly in their service staff. However, management needs to address their inventory and preparation processes to ensure the kitchen matches the quality Malik and his colleagues provide. Until these operational issues are resolved, your dining experience may depend largely on what happens to be available that day.

The staff was very friendly, and the food came out quickly. I ordered some meatballs and a pizza. While the food wasn't quite as good as I had hoped, it was still a decent meal. It was a holiday, which may explain why the service wasn’t quite up to expectations. Overall, it was a good experience.

Small unassuming hole in the wall place. I was walking and looking for a place to have lunch. These are always the best finds. Service was great and the ravioli was amazing. I absolutely recommend.

My wife and I shared a 12" "The Heap" pizza while she was in the hospital. They were very quick making our hand tossed crust pizza. It was Delicious, just the right amount of sauce. Highly recommend.
The food is fresh and delicious! My kids love the personal pizzas with cinnamon bread on the side. Always a hit with our whole family.

This is truly a hidden gem downtown, I’ve never had anything bad to say! The food and service is phenomenal and the jalapeño margaritas and sangria are out of this world! as for the food oh my gosh! amazing!!!!!

** Update 10/9/2024* My team and I returned today based on the comment left by Irena and I must say this visit did NOT disappoint!! I reached out to Irena a little bit before we walked over to ensure today was a good day and she assured us she would have us setup and ready to go. We arrived and there was a table prepped for us and within five mins our drink orders were in and someone else was at our table taking our food orders. Our food arrived timely, piping hot and delicious! While I know this experience was most likely extra excellent based on our previous visit; I have no doubt that the level of service received today is much more aligned with how they normally operate vs our initial experience. We all enjoyed our lunch and the service provided by the staff and are absolutely looking forward to our next visit. THANK YOU Irena and Staff! We'll see you soon! **
I went here for the first time with five co workers for lunch this past Wed. We get there close to 11:45 and are seated in a sparsely populated restaurant. We get our drinks and place our orders at the same time. We get drinks and then a table of maybe 15 come in. We are here for more than an hour with no refills or food. Two of our guests had to leave before getting food because of the wait and needing to return to work. We asked why the larger table was getting their food first and she then tells us it's because they pre ordered. It would have been great to know that when we arrived or when we ordered so we can plan accordingly. We FINALLY got our food about 20 mins after asking and learning of the other tables arrangements. We rushed to eat and it was good, but I probably won't be back, especially during lunch and if so, I'll ask more questions before settling in. We DID receive 10% off our orders but this shouldn't have been a situation in the first place. I am appreciative but disappointed.
