This is a very casual restaurant, with very good food. Coming here tonight was sort of an homage to the days when my husband's large family would eat here. The cheese burger was good - the cheese is grated and abundant! Not too loud or crowded, and my son and I enjoyed a long chat over our burgers and yummy fries. They have sweet tea! It was a different experience than with the large family, but every bit as good.
In the past this place was one of the best burgers in Oklahoma. Now overpriced,small portions. Not anywhere close to Split T or when Johnny the dad was overseeing operation. Disappointed! Went here weekly when I was in highschool and when I lived in the village. Oh well all good things must come to a end!
Johnnie’s is an Oklahoma institution that receives regular nationwide recognition and for great reason! Their food is incredible!

Theta cheeseburger with a small side of onion rings and a strawberry shake.
Their onion rings remain the best I’ve ever had!
