First time me and my wife visited several months ago. Steak was overcooked and the manager came out and grabbed my wife’s steak with her hands and took it off the plate. Service was horrible. We decided to give it another try for my wife’s birthday with 5 friends. Service was horrible. Not enough waters on table to start. Drink orders were delayed. Ordered shrimp on ice. Shrimp were rubber asked for another serving and they were rubber too. Finally ordered food. Waiter had to keep repeating our orders. Finally got food and the waiter gave everyone’s food to the wrong person. Shrimp scampi and a filet was ordered and the shrimp came out with no scampi. Just four dried and rubber shrimp. Finally finished meal and the charged everyone 18% gratuity. Finally left and will never return!!

Met friends in the bar. Lots of fun and really buzzing with folks. Then they all lit a cigar at the same time. It went from fun smoky bar to way too smoky of a bar. I'm not a regular so I didnt know.

Of all the evenings I’ve had at restaurants, Junior’s tops the list!!! We came in with a party of 12 and they never missed a beat. Everyone was fantastic and the food was phenomenal! Laura, Madison, Curtis, and Salem were the best servers ever. We are in town for the Ole Miss vs Oklahoma game and they made our night perfect! Kudos to everyone! The vibe is fantastic.

I recently had dinner here and the food wasn’t good. I had the beef kabobs and they were over cooked and my date had the sea bass which she couldn’t even eat since it so bad. The drinks were good and the service was also good. I will say they took 20 percent off the tab but it was still a hundred dollars. I went here for my birthday thinking it was great in previous visits years ago. If going for a drink I recommend but to eat save your money.

A Faded Jewel—Bring Back the Matradies!!!
The glory of Junior’s in the ’80s lives in my memory like a vivid dream. As a teenage busboy back then, I remember the dining room buzzing with energy: soft jazz in the air, every seat filled, servers gliding between tables, and the star performers—the *Matradies* (mah-TRAY-dee)—crafting Caesar salads tableside with the precision of surgeons and the flair of showmen. Guests tipped them for that artistry, and it *mattered*. The steaks were legendary, the baked potatoes fresh and buttery, and the lack of menu prices only added to the mystique.
Our recent visit, sadly, felt like stepping into a time capsule left to gather dust. The food was subpar (a shadow of its former self), and the atmosphere—once electric—now felt hollow. The ancient décor needs urgent love: stained ceiling tiles, too much lighting, overly bright rather than relaxed and dim to compliment the table candles , grimy vents, and muffled speakers suck the life from the room. Even the Caesar salad, once a masterpiece, is now tossed by busboys without ceremony.
That said, the *service remains superb*—a testament to Junior’s enduring spirit. But this place deserves more than nostalgia to survive. It needs:
*A décor overhaul* (higher ceilings, modern lighting, clean vents).
*Menu revitalization* (bring back the steak’s wow factor, transparent pricing).
*The return of the Matrady*—because dining here should feel like a performance, not a relic.
I’ll always cherish the Junior’s of my youth. Here’s hoping it rediscovers its magic.

Escargot is an excellent choice because it feels light on the stomach, making it a perfect starter before the main course.

We went here Saturday night (7/2/25) to celebrate a friends birthday. There were 6 total in our party. There were two tables when we arrived, otherwise the place was empty. Should have been a sign for us. We had the fried cheese (mozzarella sticks)…..it was as you would expect it. Then we ordered. My husband and I got Caesar salads, as the lovely waitress said that’s what they’re known for. It wasn’t great. The powdered parm was overwhelming, which made it unbearable. My husbands was very wet under the lettuce. It was gross. Then come the main plates. My husband had a Kansas strip w/ mashed potatoes and the $9 upcharge order of asparagus. I had salmon w/ a baked potato & French style (?) green beans. The salmon was a tad undercooked and dry. The potato was a potato. Nothing special at all. The green beans had a weird citrus taste and you didn’t taste the bacon at all. It was gross. I had asked for 3 extra lemon slices to try to add some flavor to my salmon. The butter they gave me for my salmon was disgusting!! When it FINALLY solidified, nearly an hour later, it had an applesauce consistency, which was disturbing. My husbands steak was beyond flavorless. The asparagus was boiled in plain water. The potatoes were dry as heck and flavorless also. I also don’t understand the weird butt of the salad bag garnish on all the plates. Just why!? Nobody in our party liked their meals and we spent so much on dinner. The only good thing about our meal was our waitress. She was absolutely lovely & the only saving grace while we were there. Another thing is, our friend (whose bday we were celebrating) had a weird run in with another patron while walking to the bathroom. One of the gentlemen who was acting weird made a comment to a female patron & touched her hair or something & was saying some off the wall bs to random people. My friend asked to speak to the manager with this run-in. Long story short on this; if a customer is making you or an employee feel uncomfortable, GET THEM OUT!!! I’m sorry, but it says a lot more to me when a manager will allow patrons to make employees feel uncomfortable over making those people leave. Take care of your people! You don’t want money from people who are making your employees feel uncomfortable. That’s nasty behavior. My husband and his bestie went here last year and said it was a completely different experience. However, ours together this weekend was awful on so many levels. With nothing being flavored at all and it being as expensive as it was, to say it was disappointing is an understatement. Wish it were better because we love supporting small businesses, especially when they’re local.
I’m heartbroken, the last time I ate there it was so good, arguably one of the best hidden gems of OKC, went this weekend and the food was sub par at best, the service was great, drinks were good, but the steak was flavorless and unseasoned, same with the asparagus. The salad was swimming in dressing and way too much powdered parmigiana, can honestly say for the amount of money we spent and how bad the food was we won’t be back. Dining room was empty, we were the only table in there on a Saturday night, that should have been a sign!
